this is too much yaar even avatar dvd is out now which was released just one week before 3idiots......

and pre-order for BD is also there....

is BIG home video doing dvd and BD in india for 3IDIOTS???

AMAZON now says dvd release date of MAY 18!!!!! u guys can guesss when the blu ray will release...........i SUPPOSE NEXT YEAR...........such a big film and such treatment on HOME VIDEO.........its a shame!!! whatsay bollywoodbluray.........do u have some updates......???i remmber same had happened also with aamir's TZP's dvd...........and its also not released on blu ray yet.........

You know I'm guessing that Vinod Chopra just doesn't want to release the dvd or bd for private home viewing. He just wants it to finish in theaters. Seems like a logical conclusion at this point at least.

I can swear I read some press release that 3 Idiots would be the first Indian film to be released on YouTube as a pay-per-view. This was Vidhu Chopra's way of curbing piracy... and he had said it would be within 12 weeks of the theatrical release.

Did anyone else hear this? I could be wrong...

I heard it too. Basically he doesn't want anyone to see the movie outside of the theater and unfortunately this is increasing piracy of this movie since so many people are getting impatient I'm guessing.

I know it was reported not too long ago that the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and leading Indian studios were joining forces to curb piracy, but I don't think it has had any effect yet. Even now, you can easily watch and download Indian movies online.

In the end it is the producer that losing money and faith from the customers. Oh well, only so much these people understand anyway.

The producer already got 10 times the budget he spent. why seeking for MORE money. release DVD and BLURAY asap. or face peoples angy.
