I'm not a big fan anyways, but if you like the band I'd say go see them, they put on a good show. I just wasn't in the mood for them that night.
I passed up on the last show they did out here, not sure how well their vocals would sound live.

Yeah, I was front row next to the speakers, so I can't really judge how well the vocals were

Canada For various combining reasons, the White Stripes show is my favourite

Billy Talent (twice)
The White Stripes
Foo Fighters (twice)
Queens of the Stone Age (twice)
Kanye West
Rihanna
The Raconteurs
The Killers (twice)
The Fratellis
Xavier Rudd
Franz Ferdinand
The Kills
The Dead Weather (twice)
Green Day
Incubus
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Wolfmother
Arctic Monkeys (twice)
Arkells (bunch of times)
Metric (twice)
Born Ruffians (twice)
Them Crooked Vultures

Off the top of my head haha, plus opening bands who weren't particularly memorable if they didn't make the list.

The most recent concert/show I went to was my favorite band, Algernon Cadwallader.

I'm the big bearded short kid by the singer with my Lost shirt on.

Thumbs up

Being fairly young I have seen the following bands in the past 8 years, listed from my favorite concert to least:

311 3rd row center, cost me $10 and 6 hours shivering in cold rain
AC/DC (HOLY CRAP)
Rage Against The Machine
Queens of the Stone Age
REO Speedwagon (very fun)
Sponge (got to sing into the mic several times!)
Sevendust
Nine Inch Nails (dissappointing)
Collective Soul (dissappointing)
Poison (I got free tickets...not a big fan)

I have a vacation scheduled around 3/11 day 2010 - I will be at the 311 concert on March 11th in Las Vegas traveling from Michigan.

Any other 311 fans??

I like 311,their music kinda grew on me,it rained on me when i saw them live also. Finally saw NIN live with Jane's Addiction this past year,i thought they were pretty good.Idk,maybe you saw them on a bad night. They were definitely loud and had alot of energy.

Pre 2009
Linkin park with Cypress hill and DJ z trip
Metallica
Rage Against the Machine
Metallica with Korn , Powerman 5000, kid rock
Dave Matthews band

2009
Manu Chao
Dave Matthews band
Coldplay
Nine Inch Nails Lights in the sky tour

2010
Muse March 10th

2009 was definitely the best year for shows. Overall, I'd say NIN was the best show I've been too but really, all the ones in 2009 were amazing. Production wise, visuals, feel of the show, I'd have to go with NIN though and this was when I just started hearing them for the first time, like really listening to them.

Ya, I was lucky enough to see Miles about 3 years before the end, a couple of years after he released Tutu. Not my favorite Miles period - but I love it all. What a career of re-invention.

Having seen Metallica they do put on a good show, but James seems to have lost the 'menace' in his voice. If you compare:

Monsters of Rock 1991

with

Live at Nimes

the vocals just aren't the same I know he screwed up his vocals covering 'So What' and I'm not sure how much that has contributed to it, but I would have loved to have seen Metallica late-80s/early-90s.
