Didn't really like it and the acting from the children and the old woman is what ruined it for me.

I was really hoping for it to be good as i've been wanting to see it for months now. The whole movie is just full of big loud jumpy music to make you scared.

I watched this movie last night - it has often been recommended a very scary film.

There was few decent jump moments and I liked the look of it but it was not very scary. Plus there is gaping plot hole in it that ruined it for me.

It was fairly obvious soon after the hit went into the coma that the father had some similar experience as a child which he had forgotten and I expected Barbara Heresey would be playing his “estranged mother” who eventually turn up to reveal this troubled past.

So I was very confused when she suddenly appeared and had a normal relationship with both her son and his family.

So why didn’t the filmmakers not have Grandma Lorraine appear earlier when the kid fell into a coma that science could not explain? Surely she would at least suspect a supernatural element given her experience?

Or have I missed a few minutes from the film?
