Well, I just got back from the future after trying to buy a copy of BTTF on Blu, but my credit card was expired.

This is really good news. Perhaps I will get rid of my DVD boxset? Nah, I think I'll keep it just a little longer. While we wait you can all enjoy my avatar. I made that bad boy up the day of Universal's blu annoucement. I knew it wouldnt be long before they came BACK.

So I spoke with Bob Gale recently at the Delorean Car Show in Gettysburg, PA. He told me that Back to the Future already has a HD audio/video master that was done w/ the DVD release in 2002 (commonly known). Apparently the studio is hunting down more supliments to go with the Blu release including an extended 7 minute documentary on the DVD release that will now be 13 minutes. He also said the Eric Stoltz footage will NOT be released so long as he is a working actor. They don't want to step on anyones toes.

Thats all I could gather... no release dates as he says "Whenever Universal can get there act together" or something to that effect.

Since my kids hadn't seen this yet, we spent the last 2 day watching the trilogy. Brought back a lot of memories. I enjoyed them all over again.

They loved it too.

This trilogy is an automatic buy for me.

I thought we wouldn't be seeing BttF on Blu until 2010 for the 25th anniversary. Hopefully they do a good job restoring it, and maybe adding new bonus material.
