It's a worldwide release from Universal so it will be region free. Only local releases from Universal can be region coded.

I got to hear that the delorean edition was in fact a model thats housed the blu rays themselves.2 underneath the car one under the bonnet and the other at the back.

If that's true about the Delorean edition, I still don't know. I would kind of like a nice box to slot into my shelf. I already have like, zero space on my shelves for things like models, especially if they're that big.

That's the crux for me. It had to be shelved nicely. It's the reason I'm put off the Complete Lost collection from the US - the box for that is too much of a novelty to shelve properly and I don't have space for it. I think the tin will suit me fine, and BTTF is definitely a 'time of release' buy for me.

The Lost Complete Collection does come with a box just for the discs though. You can put the little box of goodies elsewhere and HMV.co.uk now have a picture of what appears to be the packaging that both boxes will come in. I do agree that BTTF is a day one buy. Probably day -1 if play.com or amazon dispatch it early enough! I know what my parents will say though. "we could have got that for christmas"...I'm afraid I just can't wait that long!

Sunstar do four different 1:18 scale diecast DeLoreans at around £50 each and Diamond Select do a less detailed one that lights up at around £30 so any blu ray edition with a car has to compete against those, or the film company might simply put one of those on a plinth that holds the discs

Just saw this: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/n...o-cinemas.html

Epic. I wonder if they might try and chuck 3D in for the sake of it though?

Ooooh, interesting. I wasn't even born when any of the films came out, so it'd be great to see it be released in cinemas again. I hope it'll be the whole trilogy, because it wouldn't really make sense if it was just the first one, and it also says that it's return to UK cinemas, I wonder if the US are getting it too...

I was born in 1990, when the 3rd film came out. I'm not sure if it was after my birth though, but obviously I never saw any of them in the cinema either. I would love to go and see it on the big screen! And yeah, it doesn't mention the US...I don't know why we would get it and they wouldn't.

The DeLorean edition on Amazon.de is described as containing just a miniature DeLorean. No pics though, so not sure how "miniature" it's going to be The UK tin edition still seems the best one to go for.

I found some pictures!

Delorean Edition:

Limited Edition tin:

It kind of looks like the Limited Edition set is a SteelBook packaged in a box with the goodies. Shrug.

The Delorean Edition looks pretty cool.

Im guessing its not getting a UK release then, as theirs no sign of it on any UK website except Play.com still.

I hope the actual case with the almanac and outatime licence plate is a steelbook. It is easy to fit 3 discs into a standard G2 steelbook (CBS/Paramount did it with Star Trek XI). Plus, this wouldn't be the first time Universal have released BD steelbooks (Wanted, Wolfman and Kick-Ass) so I hope they continue this trend with the BTTF trilogy.

That is, if we even get the limited edition with the Almanac and Outatime licence plate in the UK.

The DeLorean edition just looks like a really cheap looking model. i've seen better looking, and smaller, Delorean models in shops, online and at Comic Con.
