This will be a relatively quiet month for me. which is to say, still purchasing. There are lots of movies I buy and most of them are used(or, for Song of the South, bootlegged). Nothing new for me here, but my birthday list will be indulged.
Now, for OCT-DEC, it'll be different. My heart is made for animation, so Beauty and the Beast, Finding Nemo, Toy Story 3, the Fantasia Anthology, among others. Might netflix Shrek 4. Not sure about Dispicable Me, nor Megamind. The next two HP Ultimate Editions will be released that time. August will see me getting Lost.....if I can afford it. |

I think they meant slipcover. But anyway, when movies have been out for a couple weeks or more sometimes it's harder to find them for a decent price with the slipcover included, for those who want them with one.
I think the only thing for me this month is The Losers. Otherwise everything is still a rental first. |

I am looking forward to Batman Under The Red Hood (god I hope Greenwood is a good bats).
I will be renting Cop Out and Clash of The Titans, would like to blind buy to bypass the four week ban on Netflix, but probably won't. Last edited by Rinzler; 07-09-2010 at 07:34 PM. |

I guess the studios think the people who are into pirating/downloading are gonna do it regardless of when the movie is released on a home format. To me, this whole "wait a month" to rent thing is just pissing off their loyal customers who don't mind paying for something worth paying for, but guess what studios? We're not all a bunch of saps; we'd like to see your f*cking product first. Crazy, i know. It's like when book publishers put out the $30 hardcover edition first, because they know the diehards are gonna buy it regardless.
People bust their asses to make music and movies. Many of my favorite directors and artists put their lives, both physically and monetarily, on the line to practice their craft. Sorry to stereotype people in their teens and twenties, but what's will all this "entitlement" that the kids feel. Most of my friends/coworkers look at me funny when i say i'm going to buy a movie or i'm gonna LEGALLY download something from itunes. Last edited by Riff Magnum; 07-09-2010 at 08:48 PM. |

I agree, I'll have some extra cash this month but it'll either be for titles I still want or saving for LOST coming out next month.
