Nice. I have Life on BD, which looks fabulous. This one I got on DVD when BD was not even a distant dream in mine eye, not a necessary upgrade right now.
Today Flipkart sent me the replacement for the wrong shipment of X-Men First Class, so now I have the Special Edition with Artbook and I'm quite pleased ![]() Last edited by ravenus; 11-11-2011 at 04:11 PM. |

Oh yeah, Life's good too. I got it long back alongwith the launch 4 disc edition of Planet Earth. But wanted to upgrade to the 6 disc edition and only the US one came with 6 blus. The UK has 5 blus & 1 DVD.
Finally succumbed to the addiction. :P Now looking to sell my old PE. :| |

@Alekh:
Niiiiice! I believe that the Taxi Driver master for the BD was made from a 4K scan of the negative. I'm looking at getting the Tom & Jerry Collection sometime next year. Btw how do you source your Amazon releases? From the US store? If so do they deliver to your doorstep in India? What about shipping etc. I order stuff to be sent home from Amazon UK since they have a free shipping to India for orders over 25GBP. Once in a while when a relative is coming from US to India I order a large pile of movies off Amazon US or Deepdiscount to their US addresses if they're obliging enough to ferry them over for me. |

@Ravenus: Thanks bro.
When buying from AMZ US, I normally get my stuff shipped via ShopandShip, a freight forwarding company under Aramex. You can check out their site and they require you to register for a one time 45$ fee, but you ask them for a code via email/twitter which will bring down the fee to 5$. Rates are 10$ for the 1st 500 gms & 8$ for subsequent 500 gms + 10.3% tax on shipping charges + customs (if any). Pretty awesome service so far (got nearly 8-10 packages through them). They assign you 3 addresses, one in each UK, US & China. So you can get stuff through them from these countries (same rates apply for all). Mail them at india@shopandship.com for further help. They've a nice customer care. |

Nice. Haven't seen Nausicaä but I have just now added it to my BD rental list. If I like it, I will buy it.
Having Guns of Navarone in BD is like a dream. There was a time during childhood days, my father never allowed us to see feature films although as any other kids of our age, we always sneaked into films on TV using various cheats and tricks at home. And after attaining a certain age, my father hired a VCP and rented four films to show us - Guns of Navarone, Where Eagles dare, Mackenna's Gold and Magnificent Seven. That was my first encounter with Hollywood. Nice memories and it still gives me goosebumps whenever I see one of these four and other hollywood movies I have grown up with. Waiting for Mackenna's Gold BD to complete my BD collection of the very first four Hollywood movies of my life. Last edited by anibap; 12-02-2011 at 02:43 PM. |
