The most repellent gore film I ever saw was Men Behind The Sun. The movie is factual and concerns a Japanese army division called Squadron 731 who were based on near the Chinese border toward the end of WWII.
731 abducted Chinese citizens and used them for extreme medical endurance experiments that invariably ended in the death of the victim. The Chinese government allowed the film producers to use real cadavers as the film was anti-Japanese propaganda. The film is full of atrocity's, ever wanted to see what happens when you put a naked man in a decompression chamber? His intestines shoot out his arse. The most heinous moment for me was a real live cat being thrown in a cage of starving rats..... but hey you get the picture. Not recommended viewing. ![]() Cannibal Holocaust is a pretty disgusting but (dare I say it) entertaining gore film, with the exception of the animal slaughter. Romero's Day Of The Dead has some phenomenal prosthetic effects as does The Thing, Fulci's Zombie flicks have some fun gore to. ![]() |

The 3D version of Flesh For Frankenstein over twenty years ago in the theater. When I saw it, it was titled Andy Warhol's Frankenstein. One reviewer said the director had intestinal fortitude for showing the abundance of intestines and other organs, lol.

I have seen this but never knew it came out as a 3D title originally.

Surprised no one has mentioned Bunman : The Untold Story (HK, 1993). It's a nasty serial killer film with a misplaced comedy streak. What about Guinea pig : Flower Of Flesh And Blood? I've only saw a about a minute of it but it's literally a fake snuff film. The effects were so real that the F.B.I (Charlie Sheen handed his copy in as he thought it was real) investigated it and when a copy was confiscated in the UK it was passed to pathologists to establish if it was real or not. ![]() |

Well to me there is one on the very top spot:
Braindead aka Dead Alive Insane, insane stuff! But so much fun nonetheless.. No other film comes close to the amount of gore in that movie I think.. There's better more disturbing gore out there, but if we talk about quantity, this is my 1st place ![]() |
