Nice... all those listed are terrible. You forgot Terminator 3?

BTTF 3 is the weakest. I don't know how people can prefer it over the second one, which is arguably the best sequel ever made in my opinion.

We respectfully disagree.

[QUOTE=Adam_ME;4302311]Part III has always been my least favorite. I saw it opening day when I was 12 and even at that age I was distracted by several gaping plotholes:

Time travel paradox and different timelines.

This is mentioned in the commentary: McFly men have a genetic predisposition to be attracted to women who look like the Baines women. Maybe the Baines women exude a particular endorphine.

Because he also ignores it in the first when he pastes Marty's note back together.

How do you know what happened when they went back? Maybe they didn't go back to town. Maybe they lied. Maybe Doc, after building the time traveling train, went back in time and changed something.

That's very easy to say, but what made it cheesy? You had two mature, intellectual adults whose relationship was based upon a common love of knowledge, science and literature in an era when most people did not have formal educations. Not cheesy at all, IMO. Far more believable than 90% of movie romances.

All those things and it's only somewhat enjoyable?

I like part III just fine. It's my least favorite of the three, but that's only because the other two are so damn great.

Exactly as I see it in terms of rankings, though I disagree that "Part III" is "good."

The fact that they bothered making it.

I agree, and I actually consider "BTTF II" to be the 2nd greatest sequel ever made behind "Mad Max 2" (a.k.a. "The Road Warrior").

Well, true to an extent, considering that "Part III" started filming while "Part II" was still in post, but honestly, I just wish they had never made it, extended "Part II" by a half hour, and just finished the film there.

I think the Box Office numbers say it all in regards to the 3 films:

Part I: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088763/business
Part II: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096874/business
Part III: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099088/business

Well, originally there wasn't even going to be sequels. In a way I kinda wish it had been the case, but I got two really good sequels out of it so I'm alright with it. They wrote 2 & 3 back to back, knowing they were going to shoot it back to back. And honestly, the third has some of my favorite scenes in the series. I think the whole series works best with both sequels now, but had they never been made I would have been ok with that. Again, just my opinion. Just like your entitled to yours.

I enjoyed them equally, maybe because the first time I watched them I watched them back to back, so it felt like one long movie and LOVED the continuity of the jokes between them
I don't see me myself watching only one part of the trilogy, it's all or nothing kind of deal

ps. this scene is unintentionally hilarious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zq5-6PkVGCg

I'm watching it right now. Been watching the Blu-Rays with my kids for their first time.

I think it's not as good because the focus is more on Doc instead of Marty. The movie does not really have much affect on Marty's timestream and so he's just there.

I still love it though.

They enjoyed them, I forgot about some of the language in the films as I had only seen them on TV in recent years, but they know what words they are not supposed to say.

My 6 year old was asking all sorts of questions about the DeLorean. Then she finally "got it" about the time travel. She was formulating a question, I thought maybe "can he go back and see Jesus" or something like that, but it was "can he go to the grocery store in that?" My wife and I are still laughing at that.

I personally dont think the third part is that bad. Of course I think it pales in comparison to the first two. The franchise would have been alright if they stopped at 2, but like I said the third is not terrible.
