I sold off my CDN versions a while back. Didn't really care for the films. Wouldn't it be funny if these were direct ports of the CDN discs? The covers are identical haha.

Cover art is as I expected (still one of my absolute favorite cover images - spanning my collecting of VHS, DVD, and Blu-rays). I'm very happy they didn't mess with it. The second one is horrendous (I was 13 at the time and I still saw it for the crapfest it was), so I will not even give that the slightest consideration. But #1 is mine on release day.

They really should have made this a double feature. There's no way they'll sell more than 12 copies of MK:A.

If they did that then nobody is going to buy the double feature, they are just going to wait until there are seprate release so it is pretty much a lose lose situation on Mortal Kombat 2

I'll take both! MK:A is horrid, yes, but it's got a killer soundtrack and I still get some enjoyment out of the fight sequences. One of those so bad it's fun flicks.

Hopefully Amazon can come up with a $10 off voucher when buying both, so we get MK:A for free.

Default Awesomality!

Mortal Kombat is great fun watching, for me Mortal Kombat Annihilation...eh, yeah it was bad and nowhere close to top the first one, but I still will buy just because I love MK!!. Hmm, now, here's the one million dollar question...will Mortal Kombat Konquest ever be released? hmmm I wonder

Well, obviously he would buy a double feature, as would I. If they released a MK double feature and it was $13.99 would you really wait for them to release MK1 separately?

I know some people expressed this opinion over the El Mariachi set, but I really don't understand it. At that price, isn't the other movie just a special feature, for all intents and purposes?

I still have my Canadian releases. but ya, if these two sport the same Alliance transfers that would be sad.

Mortal Kombat is a day one purchase for me, I remember cheering in the theaters as a kid to this one. Though part two is garbage, and should be, as others have said, bundled with the first one.
