I dunno yet. Ezio and Altair are sexy as hell, but I think it's time for a new sexy assassin.
Pretty sure it's not a handheld. They announced a 3ds game with a different name and it has ezio in it.

Ah I see. I didn't know about that one.

My question is why would they go back to Altiar (if that is the character that will be in revelations)?
[Show spoiler] Desmond and Lucy already found the apple(let alone why go back into the animus unless it's a side story with whole new assassin cell).

Maybe the Templars steal the apple, you go into the Animus to relive the memories of an ancestor that found out the whereabouts of a secret hidden Templar base where they may be hiding. Who knows? I don't get too caught up on stuff like that. I like Assassin's Creed and the whole story so I'll play any game they come out with. I seriously doubt that Altiar will be the main protagonist though. I think the most likely scenario would be that you play as Desmond in the present. Not only was he searching for the apple, be he was also learning skills to become an assassin from Ezio.

I do though since the story has sucked me in. Speaking of which, check out this fan film:

They are working of part III as well

does not make much sense to me,
1) at Altair's time the Templars where in power, they would not need a hidden base
2) How would Desmond (or others) know Altair knew of that base?
3) if they knew what base (in order to tell Altair where to look) then why would they need Altair's knowledge, and let's face it things can change in a few hundred years

Could be, but I hope there are other things to get from the past, I like the Animus concept.

Yeah that's the part that is getting me too, Altair basically
[Show spoiler]had the apple his whole life while he was writing the codex until his death.
that and we basically know his entire life story by now.

I have another theory too, In that we may be taking this whole Altair thing a little to literal and it's some sort of obscure clue. Clue to what I have no idea

It's kind of interesting that the 3DS game will apparently have Ezio traveling to Masyaf.

Yeah, but that's not going to make me run out and buy a 3DS (just like the AC games on the PSP didn't make me go out buy one either).

Despite probably being for a handheld, this is pretty exciting. I really enjoy the AC games. But, I hope they don't release a new one each year just to milk it for all it's worth.

I was not saying that had anything to do with Altiar. I'm not really sure why you're trying to correct me. I wasn't really trying to through a plot together for the game. Like I said, I believe it will be played as Desmond as the 3rd so there would be no need for the Animus. But anyways I don't see how it would any different than finding the Apple of Eden. They knew that Ezio hid it, and that is why they choose him to go back to so they could find it. It'm sure there are plenty of scenarios that could inform them of such a base. Subject 17 for one. There were subjects before Desmond and they could have info that could be found. Who knows? I wasn't really trying to come up with up some grand plot. It was just thrown out there.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I've never played any of the handheld games they put out I just briefly skimmed over the plot in the wiki. I know I won't buy it, but I am intrigued as to what Ezio is going to be doing over there.

I was not trying to correct you, if I was I would have said you where wrong and I would have pointed out facts to show it. I was just pointing out why I don’t think it made sense if you can share your opinion why shouldn't I be allowed to do the same?

yes but a hideout is not the same thing. If you want to find a hidden object you start out where you last saw it and go from there hoping that by retracing your steps you can find it, that is what happened in AC, the Templars found the apple, Altair stole it from them, and so they went back to that time to see what happened to it. In AC2 Desmond gets saved from the Templars and they use the Animus to go back to Enzio to see what happened to it. And in AC:B they found out he lost it again (so not the end of the retrace) but he got it back and then hid it. If your example was that in the Box the Templars found there was also something else then that would make sense, but like I said before the problem with a hideout is that unless you know that the templars are not hiding out somewhere new and they are using the same location (and it is still standing) that Altair found it is a wild goose chase.

The point is you're reading into something too much for no reason. If you want to pick at a random idea I threw out there, then be my guest. I don't see what the problem is.

Starting where they last saw it? Nobody saw it, they had no idea where it was at. That is exactly why Desmond went in to the Animus, so they could find it. If you recall, at the end of Assassin's Creed, the Apple shows that there are more Apples. So in Assassin's Creed 2, you are looking for a different Apple, not the same one Altair had.

I'm not even going to argue about the temple thing. You took it more seriously than I intended.

Latest two...videos. I can't even call them teasers.

They really just need to out with it. I know some people lost interest quickly.

In the 3rd "teaser", they showed a set of numbers (it flashed quickly so I could see which exactly though).

UPDATE: I actually saw 240(don't know the digit after that)459.

I believe it's 24061459. And the coloring in the background separates them right down the middle, so the 2406 has a bright blue hue behind it and the 1459 is grey-ish, leading some people to think we could see multiple time frames in the next one.

Not sure of source because someone posted this on another forum, so take with grain of salt while I try to track it down:

they said they underlined the important stuff in red.

Edit: Ok found Source. It flashes very briefly before the sneak peek in the flash on Facebook.

Don't really know what to make of it. I guess it's the programming code for the Animus 2.1.
