What do you mean by the magnetic frame?

Yep. It's supplied in a plastic wallet that is literally stuck onto the slip by two big blobs of goo.

Not impressed.

Why do they even bother, if you it's going to do is cause damge to the product you're actually paying money for.

Where was the harm in simply attaching it with an elastic band or something similar.

Maybe they thought people care about the discs more than the cardboard that surrounds the plastic case that houses the discs The reason retailers use goo is because elastic bands etc. aren't very secure.

Well, I've emailed Play and complained. Now let's see what they have to say.

Probably that they didn't manufacture the item, and that they are just the distributor. That would be my guess.

Watched the 3D version last night - and enjoyed it

The 3D is very impressive - and it was good to see Disney go back to thier classic style.

My only issue was - did anyone notice the picture goes a bit pixelated (spelling :-s) when there is a quick change of scene? Not a show stopper as is happens so quickly but still bugged me a bit.

I'd imagine this is the same goo that ruined The Simpsons DVD's that came in the shape of the characters heads. That stuff leaks straight through the inserts and back covers and leaves a nasty stain.

I've seen similar stuff that doesn't stain used in magazines to attach samples and other freebies so why they didn't use that is beyond me....

Got mine from Play this morning, and I don't know whether I got lucky or Phil got unlucky, but the photo frame came off mine with ease! Came off in just seconds with no damage or dirt on the slipcover whatsoever.

My Mum and Dad just came back with the Tangled Double Play and after spending a few minutes trying to find a perfect slip they took a mint one to the till in HMV where the chap removed the security red tag only to scuff a horrible silver gouge down the spine.

I'll take it back to me local and change it (they don't use red tags either). The policy to have the slips outside the shrinkwrap is beginning to cheese me off. Especially with the Disney titles which seem to be very prone to scratches and scuffs.

The Double Play was 17.99 if anyone was interested.

Agreed.

What I find more annoying is the way the staff don't seem to care about the quality of the products their selling, because they'll slam the Blu-ray down at the check out, shove them in with other Blu-rays when there's really know room, etc.

The guy tried to remove the tag by swiping the case back and forth causing the marks then he removed the slip and the red tag, he put the slip on upside down. Why he didn't remove the slip first I don't know.

Out of curiosity I tried the 'generate a hero name' thing on the Disney site. It came up with:

Max Power (that made me laugh, it was the name Homer Simpson used after his was used by a bumbling police officer in Police Cops in 'Homer to the Max').

Storm Power (sounds like a wind farm)

Jet Lightning (sounds like a Transformer)

Rex Stryker

Maximus Danger (sounds like an Austin Powers character 'Dangers not just my middle-name baby....')

Although Harrison Magnificent and Blake Silverblade sound awesome. I can see this little 30 second diversion been favourited by screenwriters around the world....
