Ahh, okay! Thanks for clearing that up. Still you could import it after only being out 3 weeks in the US. I just don't recall that happening very often. Then again, I'm not a big importer!

Finally caught this today. It was good, but I was a bit underwhelmed.

Very well done, and very good performances. But it was all a bit anti-climatic. I didn't have any problems following it, but I didn't think the developed the characters outside of Smiley and Peter much, so I wasn't very invested in which one of the suspects was really the mole as we didn't really know a whole lot about any of them.

Just not much of a payoff for a very slow, methodical movie. I'd give a 3/5 on the Netflix star system.

I honestly have no idea what the movie was about or what happened. I saw it the other day. It was quite confusing.

To make matters worse, a blu-ray rip hit the net Friday and I wasted my free ticket to see this would have rather seen The Iron Lady instead.

but I downloaded the Blu-ray rip to rewatch it at home to try and understand it more. I'll probably buy it when it hits $9.99 or less though.

I didn't find it hard to follow. Only thing I could see throwing people is not catching when Smiley is reminiscing about old times, but even that I thought was pretty clear.

Anyway, the wiki page has a simple plot summary.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinker_...Spy_%28film%29

I read it after seeing it just to see if I by chance missed something major since so many people had said it was confusing/hard to follow, but I'd caught it all. It's really straight forward. Just very slow and methodical, so maybe some just couldn't pay close enough attention to catch everything. *shrugs*

I give it four question marks cuz I has no idea what the heck was going on except that Gary Oldman likes to take a swim and there were some pretty bad hairdos back in the 70's.

You might want to be careful about talking about that here. It's heavily frowned on (to say the least) by this site.

My wife and I saw it last night. I thought it was a fantastic movie. Granted there were times when it was difficult to follow, heaven help the poor soul who has to take a "restroom" break, but altogether, I enjoyed it.

The cast couldn't have been stronger as they are the oens who really made this movie. If the pace had been any faster, it would have been a long series of commercials, but it was thoroughly enjoyed.

I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 and may watch it again to "fill" in the gaps.

It's been out in the US for over a month. It only expanded more the past couple of weeks.

I really thought they would try and update it a bit. Had the same look and feel of the Alec Guinness BBC series. Enjoyed the performances more than the spy drama.

I was talking about the blu-ray, not the theatrical release.
