I only have one Echo Bridge double feature and each feature is on a seperate BD-25 disc. The discs even retain the lossless audio, etc from the previous individual releases. For the double feature I have it appears EB just dropped in the same discs from the individual releases. Sounds like EB changed tactics with later double feature releases. i caught that later, and posted about it in the other thread. whoops. so...what makes that guy special to get that disc? they know he'd give them a good review, that's what. his reviewage is as deep as the packaging itself, in my eyes. all i know is alliance have put out some great discs over the last year, and have somewhat redeemed themselves. echo bridge, the opposite. they went from a "hey cheap crap!" company to "damn, what cheap crap! WTF!" company. |

As cheap as EB is I have to wonder if they'll even spent the extra money to do two encodes for these titles since the individual releases and double features are being release around the same time. Since each feature, on the double features, will have no more than 12.5GB of space I wonder if the individual releases will also use less than 12.5GB on a BD25.
It's quite obvious EB is trying to maximize their investor's profit. However, what they fail to realize is that they're more than likely losing money since they probably would have made much more if they release these titles in the right manner. Last edited by rdodolak; 05-08-2011 at 06:30 PM. |

The site's review is up for the From Dusk Till Dawn combo disc and as expected both movies are crammed on a BD-25. I've tried to keep an open mind regarding the Echo Bridge releases, but the treatment they've given these releases is indefensible. I sure wish Shout Factory had won the bidding war with Echo Bridge for the affected Miramax titles. ![]() |

Hmm...if Echo Bridge wanted to save money on the authoring process, they should have just made their audio tracks PCM since it's public domain and anyone can use it. I also question why they didn't put From Dusk Till Dawn 3 on the disc instead of the first film, I thought that the third film was way more enjoyable compared to the second film.
I'm not saying that I am not grateful for Echo Bridge for releasing these titles, we all know Disney wasn't doing jack for most of these films anyway. But, I question how From Dusk Till Dawn is considered a lower title in the Miramax library, if we were talking Pokemon or Duplex, I could understand Lionsgate passing on it. But, FDTD? Really, Lionsgate? |
