Anyone have something similar to them? How can I have dts hd on for Cars 2? Thanks!
Try setting it in the Setup menu before you start playing; for some reason the default on this disc is DD 5.1 EX instead of DTS-HD MA. Since Sony only recently figured out how to make PS3s handle DTS-HD MA on 3D movies (they're still not there yet with TrueHD), I wouldn't be surprised if the Audio button was disabled on all 3D movies.

I noticed while examining the disk for any dirt that it seems more than the usual transparent, and the print on the front is odd in that it covers only half the disc. I'm just speculating but perhaps this causes a flicker effect as it spins and makes it more dificult for the laser to read. I returned my disk to Amazon for a replacement (the 1st time I've ever returned anything) but after reading this thread I fear the next disk will be more of the same. Hopefully Vizio will remedy this with a new firmware update or Disney will recall the disks and fix them.
Played great for the first half on my dad's 133, but horribly the last half.

Thanks. That definitely worked. As far as if the audio button is disabled on all 3d movies for the ps3 I'm not sure. Thus far, all of my other 3d movies have defaulted to the dts-hd audio so I didn't have to worry about toggling to a different audio option while the movie was on. I guess time will tell...

Well, This Tuesday with the release of everything from chicken little 3D, Geforce3D, Meet the Robinsons 3D & the other? (oh, Bolt 3D but I already have that one)I sure hope Samsung gets the update out fast... Still no joy..

I don't look forward to anymore "Read Issues" & hope the programmers are truly working hard, meanwhile I'm just enjoying rewatching the older 3D releases issue free..

Good luck Samsung....

I'll keep the faith this will be a short lived problem

Guess I'll be watching my copy on the PS3. Good thing I never bothered to get rid of it.

I have a Samsung 3-D player as well (no 3-d TV yet), but the 2nd blu-ray disc (the supplements) stalls and just shows the magic kingdom. Additionally, my wife reported she couldn't get either to work while I was away this last weekend. I only get the 2nd disc to work when I shut off the player, then restart it with the disc in it.

Edit: I have only tried the 2-D version, and the supplements disc. (Digital copy worked fine)

Well, Its Tuesday & been a week, Still no new Firmware from Samsung? I just got off the phone with them again. I wish more people would call & talk to them... Maybe add pressure.

I am concerned as they were all Disney Films & I just picked up "Meet the Robinsons 3D", "Chicken Little 3D", "Bolt 3D", & G Force 3D" Today & really hope there are no issues, meaning that Disneys newer Blu-Ray Disks have changed somehow....

I might have to go get another 3D Blu Ray player... This problem is slow to be fixed?

What number are you calling? Also, if possible, can you tell what numbers you are pushing once you are connected?

I just went to Samsungs website & clicked support & contact. Called the 800/888 number & the menu will automatically get you to a person if you have an issue (thus why I praised their customer service). I'm mobile rigutt now & will post up the phone number & menu selection tomorrow for everyone stuck w/ Samsung & the Firmware issue..

On another note: This weeks Disks seem to be fine, I watched Meet the Robinsons 3D & G Force 3D today with zero issues! I'll knock out bolt 3D & Chicken little 3D tomorrow.

It's strange how firmware effects Blu rays so much, I guess being used to DVDs for so long (almost 2000 titles) & moving over to Blu ray I'd have to expect some issues? Still, once I viewed a Blu ray I'd never buy another DVD again

Default Same pauses/freezes on my panasonic bdt100 player!

Hi, Samsung owners can relax a bit; I'm having the same kind of glitches with my Panasonic player; finally stopped and ejected the disc and played an Imax disc with no problems. Have Toy Story 3D, but haven't played it yet. I have never had a previous problem playing any of my other 3D discs.

Have you updated your Firmware? Brains (on the first page) also has issues w/ his pany player & after updating his firmware it was fine...

UPDATE: Meet the Robinsons, G-Force, Bolt, & Chicken Little 3D are all working great, still waiting on Samsung for the firmware for Cars 2 & Toy Story 2/3

Well, I couldn't stand it anymore (Samsung's Firmware issue), So I went out today & bought a new Panasonic DMP-BDT210P, plugged it in, updated the Firmware & "WALLA"!

Cars 2, & all the Toy Story 3D movies work perfectly.... Sure I'll keep the Samsung but the Pany plays a lot more BD formats, not just BD-ROM..

I also got a kick out of the 2D to 3D setting, not perfect but actually fun, that & this has much more "adjustability" when it comes to 3D. It looked a lot better on all films..

Oh, & I get Avatar 3D mail in rebate, Win, Win

So, it's confirmed again, wasn't the disks at all, I actually feel bad I exchanged the 3 movies thinking they were bad....

Lesson learned. Oh, lastly, today's release of HP the Deathly Hallows part 1&2 3D are issue free with both players, cheers.. My next visit to this thread will be when the firmware upgrade comes to post if Cars 2 ect.. Works

Watched it this evening (glitch-free on the PS3) and it was way better than I remember from the theater. Like most movies, it looks a lot more crisp, clean and detailed on my home setup than at the theater. This movie is serious eye-candy, the Tokyo night-time scenes in particular are just staggering! Really beautiful. When I saw it at the theater I wasn't real impressed with the storyline, but I have to admit it's better than I remember. There aren't a lot of in-your-face 3D scenes and some scenes are a little flat, but overall it's got great depth. I do get a bit of ghosting now and then with some movies, but this one was 100% clean even during the really dark scenes. A super addition to the 3D collection

I was pretty impressed with the 2D to 3D on my pany as well and the "adjustability" too. Much nicer picture/3D effects then I was getting on the PS3 and/or the Samsung TV's 2d to 3D converter.

And yeah free Avatar is a nice incentive for a purchase though mine is gonna go up on E-bay unwatched next week.
