Incessant shakey-cam, piss-poor visual effects, McClane is a perpetually hungover drunk for no apparent reason (totally out of character compared to the first two movies), the bad guy's plan makes no sense, the reshot ending is awful...it's a crushing letdown compared to the first two films in the series. Live Free Or Die Hard was vastly superior.

I agree. Even though I haven't seen DH5, I have no intention of wasting my money after hearing and reading so many negative reviews.

DH3 is the last good Die Hard. John McClane basically turned into a superhero in DH4, and it's evident he's still a superhero in DH5 just by watching the trailer.

A Good Day To Die Hard is without a doubt, the absolute worst entry of all time, in a movie franchise.
Nothing else even comes remotely close to being as lousy.

AGDTDH, from start to finish, is a total...

If only they had a better team of writers and had not hired that incompetent muppet looking director.

Since it was the same story as the first two films, it didn't need to exist.
I get what you're saying, and I agree that it is uneccessary. HOWEVER, I do find the dialogue very entertaining and some of the action is spectacular and staged really well, so on the whole, I really like it.

The Mummy 3 is what gets my vote. Bland, boring and terribly shot. The Jet Li/Michelle Yeoh showdown has to be one of the biggest letdowns in cinema history becuase of how they filmed the sequence. I came this close to screaming at the screen because of it!

Matrix Revolutions

I hate this film so much that I had to spit on the floor after typing the title.

Not a third entry, but it did get me thinking that most fifth entries in a franchise are pretty bad. Battle for Planet of the Apes, Star Trek V, Police Academy 5, and now Die Hard 5, all rather poor (yes, even I will admit that DH5 sucks ).

Voted for Superman III. But why is Mission Impossible III on the list? I thought most people like it?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III for me. A close second was X-Men: The Last Stand, but I'll never get passed April saying "It's Star Trek time." And for the record, Mission: Impossible III was enjoyable.

Yes... Terrible. This one made me give Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull a second chance.

I just watched Spiderman 3 again recently and I really think it isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Yes there are some dumb scenes and missed opportunities, but this is no Superman III by a long shot.

Whilst there are worse films listed, I had to choose Superman III, simply because how much of a fall from grace the series had from the first amazing film, to the dirge served up in the third film. I was going to choose Star Wars III, but then I remembered that all 3 of the prequels were terrible, so singling out Sith doesn't really make any sense. Superman started out with an intelligent, well made film with heart and humour, and then degenerated into Richard Pryor in a oversized cowboy hat getting drunk.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Not only was it disappointing, it wasn't even good. It went from great (Curse of the Black Pearl) to very good (Dead Man's Chest) to BARELY mediocre (At World's End)
