I admit I knew absolutely nothing about this show going in; I loved it. I'm currently subscribed to Starz only to be able to watch "The White Princess" mini-series. I was blown away by the original "The White Queen" a few years ago. I will probably stay subscribed a bit longer to watch the rest of this series now.

[Show spoiler]I almost 100% sure mr wednesday is odin, the hint of his poster, 2 ravens and the vikings part at the beginning that he stabbed his own eye. Odin is known to have one eye and a patch and 2 ravens companions...but the form of mr wednesday has 2 eyes intact making it less obvious....but the 2 ravens on his poster says otherwise ....perhaps. on the preview of the next episode, mr wednesday wants to go to chicago to obtain his hammer. could be thor....i dunno. odin is much more fitting. after all he wields a spear called gungnir. he also owned a hammer that he gave to his son, thor.

this show is ****ing interesting.!

I'm almost upset I wasted time watching the pilot. Awful writing.

There's also a new monthly comic book series called American Gods: Shadows. The first two issues are available now.

[Show spoiler]

“The American Gods comic is going to be an astonishing, faithful, and beautiful adaptation.”—Neil Gaiman

Went ahead and got Starz today for this. I loved the first episode and am in for the long haul. Very Lynchian.

Big fan of the book, and the first two episodes of the show have exceeded my expectations for it. Knew it was in great hands with Fuller and with Gaiman being so involved.

Gillian Anderson was great as Lucy. I enjoyed the second show even more than the first. Also, that is why you never go through someone else's phone.

Haven't even heard of the book series, but I have loved the first 2 episodes so far. Crazy this is only an 8-episode long season.

Well...
[Show spoiler]He goes by Mr. Wednesday. And the days of the week are all named after gods. And the "wednes" in Wednesday is an English variation of "Wotan". And Wotan is another name for Odin. (And Czernobog actually greeted him as "Wotan".) So...

No.
[Show spoiler]Their current plan is the stretch the book out over 3 seasons, so we likely won't see that until later on.

In the first episode
[Show spoiler]while on the plane with Shadow Wednesday mentions he only has one eye: "I've got an eye for these things. Just the one." When he says that, he points to his left eye. You can see in many scenes that his right eye is a bit more clear than his left. It's a fake eye. It's pretty obvious in the poster too if you're looking for it.
