Yes. I pretty much did that last year, and I could have saved a *ton* of money by waiting a couple of months for Black Friday and December.

In particular, box sets are likely to be heavily discounted around the holidays.

Fortunately (?) I wasn't excited about any of the big summer movies this year. Movies like Thor are rentals, and some flicks like Pirates 4 I don't even care enough about to rent. At least Hollywood's doing their part to help save me money! It's the catalog titles on Blu-ray I need to watch out for.

That said, the only must-haves for me so far are:

Hanna (UK steelbook)
Three Colours Trilogy (UK)
Star Wars
Twisted Metal (PS3)

Possibly:

Harry Potter (I did enjoy the last movie)
Dead Island (PS3)
