Just stopped by my local BB and asked about this - the guy comes back with it in hand to show me they have it and tells me it will ring out BUT the box says we can't sell it til 10/2. Maybe I'll try the other BB near me Tues

Guess I was just hoping they would have sold them earlier like they've done before with other releases - No biggie I could wait.

The Lion King case seemed to be mass produced. Stores in my area had them weeks after release.

I had actually been told by a BB employee on a different forum that these would be out on 9/18, c'est la vie.

I've seen the shipping box already and posted a photo of the back of the case, showing the case is available from 10/2-10/17.

I posted this in the Deals Forum but since I started this thread and are apart of this one more:

Well my wife was able to get her hands on one this morning.

they todl us to call all last week, which we did to see if it was in. They were and when she questioned them on the release date they brought them out to put them out. I guess the date of the 21st may be right. They did inform her that the Cars 2 ones were already in but wouldn't be available until the the 2. That is awesome. So it will be out this weekend!

The P4 case is awesome by the way. I'm really impressed with this years collective case releases.

It's possible though I can't say with 10% certainty. I'd call their 888 number to verify.

I was able to snatch a copy today!!!! They pulled one from the back, they only had 5 in stock, and after i bought mine, they went down to 4

, its a very nice metal case, its embossed, and the elevated skull and logo are glossy while the rest of the case has somewhat of a matte finish, very very nice

I completely struck out yesterday at my Best Buy...they wouldn't go in the back and look. They finally looked it up and said there was no sku...then they gave me the spiel about the new company stocking movies/games/CDs.

And in the end, just told me to stop back. UGGHHH....

I pre-ordered just the case online. Fingers crossed.

stoped in my best buy today and bs'd with guy for about 10 mins. than sprang the question on him about it, went in the back and checked...... my store has 5 copys of pirates and 5 of cars 2....sunday morning i will be making my trip

I was at Best Buy earlier this morning picking up the remaining Sopranos DVDs I didn't have yet. So I asked a sales associate and the customer service people if they had the Pirates pre-sell case and they said check back in a week or two. So I came home, decided to call them and ask if they had Pirates based on the SKU and they said they did. So while I was on the line, I asked about Cars and they said they also had it and they said they'd hold them for me. So I gave them my last name, went back to the store (about 30 minutes away) and got my Pirates and my Cars 2 metal cases. My store still has like 10-12 more Lion Kings and I managed to grab that one a few weeks back.
