Just "Batman Begins", not an enthusiastic Action/Sci-fi fan, but looks like that's what "sells". I actually got a headache when I went to see "Inception" in the theater, the soundtrack effects were so loud. I did'nt feel involved with the characters enough to be that interested in the convoluted plot, I can muster up some feeling for the man in black though.

According to Blu-ray.com stats, how many of the top 10 movies do you own in one way or another?
# rating Title Theatrical / Reviewed/ Owned ------------------------------------------- 1__9.1 The Dark Knight (2008) 223 160 16652 2__8.2 Iron Man (2008) 119 102 11959 3__8.4 Batman Begins (2005) 145 83 11778 4__7.8 Avatar (2009) 179 147 11152 5__8.4 Casino Royale (2006) 92 56 9876 6__8.2 Star Trek (2009) 117 100 9781 7__8.7 The Matrix (1999) 83 42 9468 8__7.5 300 (2006) 98 60 9447 9__7.4 Transformers (2007) 106 98 9327 10_8.8 Inception (2010) 6/10 - Matrix Trilogy on wish list, Batman Begins was good, but not blu-ray collection good, Casino Royale was awesome, may have to add that to wish list, lastly Inception, I liked the movie, but It's one of those movies I can only watch once or twice. So won't be grabbing that one. |

Let's see here:
1__9.1 The Dark Knight (2008) 223 160 16652 *Dark Knight SteelBook (initial release), *part of Germany combo SteelBook 2__8.2 Iron Man (2008) 119 102 11959 *FS SteelBook, *single disc release (decided not to open up the steelie, so I recently picked up the single disc release. I have the bonus features covered with the dvd SteelBook for this title) 3__8.4 Batman Begins (2005) 145 83 11778 *Gift Set, *SteelBook, *part of Germany combo SteelBook 4__7.8 Avatar (2009) 179 147 11152 *initial US release, *UK Steelbook, and *3-disc SteelBook. (I also picked up the US 3-disc set w/o the discs so I can house the 3-disc steelie in the slipbox/slipcover. I have the bookstyle packaging holding the US initial release discs for now) 5__8.4 Casino Royale (2006) 92 56 9876 *UK digipack/slipbox (have the German SteelBook on order via trade, but trade might fall through, so I did not include it) 6__8.2 Star Trek (2009) 117 100 9781 *SteelBook 7__8.7 The Matrix (1999) 83 42 9468 *Box set, *Digibook, *SteelBook 8__7.5 300 (2006) 98 60 9447 *German SteelBook, *CA SteelBook, *Digibook (had the original amaray release but gave it to my brother awhile back) 9__7.4 Transformers (2007) 106 98 9327 *initial release and *German SteelBook 10_8.8 Inception (2010) *SteelBook (housed in Best Buy's exclusive slipbox, gave the amaray release to my brother) So, I currently have all 10, and 21/10 if you count the multiple copies I have (23 if you also include the ones I owned at one time but gave away). I knew I had a few multiples of these titles when I initially saw the list, but I had no idea it was going to be that many. I also have a few of these titles as dvd releases, purchased before I went blu (a few multiples here as well), but I won't bother listing them all (Dark Knight, Iron Man, Batman Begins, Casino Royale, The Matrix, 300, and Transformers). EDIT: Holy crap, I just ran through these in my head, and I think the dvd releases I have of these comes out to 14 (amaray, gift sets, and SteelBooks). If I'm correct, then I have 35 different releases of these 10 titles in my collection right now (blu's and dvd's combined). I've also contemplated getting the new Dark Knight SteelBook since it is bannerless and matches up better with the Batman Begins steelie. I think for now, I will leave these titles alone and focus on other movies, lol! D@mn, now I wish I hadn't look inside this thread. EDIT AGAIN FOR THE BONUS: 11_ 8 Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) 78 56 8977 12_ 8.8 Lost (2004-2010) 22 - 8947 13_ 8.7 WALL•E (2008) 83 45 8818 14_ 7.9 Watchmen (2009) 85 79 8802 15_ 8.3 Up (2009) 92 76 8687 16_ 8.8 Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) 74 33 8442 17_ 8.5 Inglourious Basterds (2009) 86 64 8044 18_ 7 Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) 64 86 8027 19_ 7.5 Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) 71 78 7952 20_ 6 Spider-Man 3 (2007) 66 85 7823 Okay, for these last 10, I'm not completely nuts. I have all of them but Lost, so I'm 19 out of 20, or 30/20 factoring in the multiple blu copies. As for Lost, it was a great show, but I don't think I'd ever have a desire to watch it again. What's really weird is out of these last 10 titles, I only have one version of each one (besides Lost, like I said), and they are all SteelBooks. I did pick up the US amaray blu release of Watchmen before I got the SteelBook, but I sold off the amaray (this would make it 33/20 if I include the ones I once owned but gave away/sold). If I were to look at the dvd versions I have of these last 10 titles, then I have 6/10 dvd releases out of them, with one title (Spider-man 3) being the only one that I have more than one version, making it 7 dvd releases (amaray and steelie). For blu's and dvd's combined, it comes out to 21+9+14+7=51 variations of these 20 titles on blu and dvd in my current collection. Phew! Last edited by mr. b; 09-22-2011 at 09:23 PM. |
