Received it yesterday from Amazon.ca

The Mighty Hercules, not bad for $9 to see a cartoon show I liked when I was a kid. They did a good job on restoration on it to.

Isn't Space Camp on tomorrow on BBC2?

Update: It's on in the morning at 9.20 another stupid scheduling move by the Beeb, Who Framed Roger Rabbit was earlier the other day as well. Love all the movies on Christmas time but hate the family stuff been on so early!

They mixed up the pictures beacuse of the contractually obligated name order vs. the cast pictures!

Watched:

Furry Vengeance

Fun family film, probably made more enjoyable by Brendan Fraser. Not a big fan of altering animals with CGI though. It should have been The Birds with other animals, nature fighting back (not like The Happening though) instead they tried to anthropomorphic the heck out of all the furry critters and make it go all Disney.

I didn't know when it would be on, plus got some vouchers for birthday off some mates and beings this is a favourite of mine I had to have it at some point. This time my hubby can watch it with me as its usually on while he's at work not when he has his Christmas booked week off. He loves it just as much as me so it will be great to watch together

Its a tradition to watch this every Christmas, I love me some 80's early 90's movies over the holidays, I can't wait

Watched: 'Romancing the Stone', 'The Jewel of the Nile' and Warlock

Jewel of the Nile was defiantly better then the first movie, now I just got to find and order 'Warlock: The Armageddon' for the OH and then I should have earnt enough credit so he might sit through Home Alone2 this Christmas with me without complaining to much (still don't have it on BR maybe I should try importing stuff one day)

Posty has been looks like no DVDs for me today, hopefully the two remaining movies will come tomorrow..

Sacrilege! The bit with the fighter jet is a fantastic addition though. I'll have to watch them again for a re-appraisal.

As for Space Camp luckily for me it's on BBC's iPlayer (with the Herbie movies), although they're not on the PS3!

Watched Space Camp on the TV through my sisters laptop, she loved it (she probably doesn't remember watching before).

Watched:

Stranger Than Fiction

I just love that film, one of my all-time favourites!

It arrived in the post yesterday morning so we stuck it in. I'm sure last time I watched it I was in and out the room all the time as there were a few parts that I don't remember seeing before, oh well, it was great nevertheless, now it's on the shelf ready and waiting for next Christmas..

Bought:

Fawlty Towers The Complete Collection Remastered

£10 in-store ASDA, they had a load of DVD boxsets for the same price including Band of Brothers and The Pacific tins. I've got most of the stuff though (they had seasons 4 and 5 of The Simpsons but I've got those (what were the chances?).

Watched:
Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone: Extended Version
Harry Potter & The Chamber Of Secrets: Extended Version

Both from their respective Ultimate Edition boxsets. Pretty good, but I can see why at least one scene was left out of the theatrical version of Chamber Of Secrets (the scene where Harry hands Mr Filchs' letter back to him. No conclusion to that scene). I have yet to watch the theatrical versions on blu-ray. I have done before (basic amaray versions borrowed from my sister), but I don't remember how good they looked.

What is "Remastered" about it? I've seen it going cheaply in Cash Zone, but didn't know whether to bother getting it or not.

Bought: Jarre in China, 2 Music-DVDs + CD

Found this at MediaMarkt in town. I love JMJ so I thought I might as well start collecting his Concert DVDs. Watched it today and I was surprised about how good it looked for a DVD. The sound was also very good despite being only DTS - excellent use of surround channels! I guess mastering by THX is to thank for that.

Ordered: Oxygene, 30th Anniversary Edition (Remastered, 5.1), CD+DVD

Can't wait to listen to this 5.1 remastering of this classic album, should be a blast!

I can't comment on the audio or video quality as I haven't gone through them yet. I'd imagine it still has all the limitations of productions from that era. Seemed like a decent bargain to me for a tenner even though it's only 12 episodes. But here's a picture of the set and what's included:
