Highly dubious, since the theatrical release got pushed back to 9 December here. Expect the date to shift, especially if the film starts picking up awards nominations.

I'll definitely be getting this, though will probably wait for it to drop a little in price. I saw in the cinema in September, so no need to be getting it day one.

Saw this in the cinema and it was excellent. Will definitely pick up a triple play or double play.

That won't affect the UK release - the cinema run will have long been over for us and this release falls nicely into the four month window that's the norm now. Besides, if it does pick up awards attention then that'll only do the disc a favour in terms of advertising.

I know I posted this exact comment in a thread the other day, but for this news, it is definatly worth repeating:

Day one for me. One of the best films I have seen in years.

I know the UK release was 16 September, but if the film starts gaining awards momentum, it may be delayed (in the UK) to release closer to the Academy Awards.

Haven't seen it.
Blind buy pre-ordered the steelbook. Only around $24 shipped to the US. Not bad at all.

I can't wait to see this. TTSS will play in Harrisburg starting on the 13th of Jan.

I'm region free, so I will be picking up the steelbook. Let's hope that the cross atlantic trip doesn't ding the metal case up.

Question region free?

I'm interested in ordering this disc. Does anyone have any idea if this release will be region free?

I it is...but looking at Studio Canal's releases in the past, chances are not too good. But should someone find out earlier, please let us Americans know I would definately import this!

Blockbusters have a exclusivity rental window for this (available with them as of 13th January), so hopefully someone with a multi-region player will be able to find out then for you instead of having to wait until the end of January when it's "officially" released.

Has anyone else encountered playback issues with the UK disc? On my 4K player the menu doesn’t work (no cursor and no controls), on my region free player it skips at one point, on an old player it freezes at a similar point. No visible damage on the disc
