Amazon.ca just shipped THE SPACE CHILDREN, COLOSSUS OF NEW YORK and PROJECT X!
Wow...they are finally on the ball with the Olive releases! When I first ordered CRACK IN THE WORLD last Spring, it took about 3 months. Then some of the Jerry Lewis films were a few weeks late. Now, they've actually shipped three Olive films the day before release. Looks like they've worked out any problems in the supply chain. |

A couple of those Westerns, including SILVER CITY, are actually on the shelf in the local mall. I held SILVER CITY and came very close to buying it and I still hope to get it.
The thing is: I've got three Olive BDs coming this week and two more coming next week (THE SPIRIT IS WILLING and TALES THAT WITNESS MADNESS). Plus I have 4 more Olive BDs on pre-order for July and August...with more pre-orders yet to come. So I'm really busting the budget right now. I'm hoping I'll get a chance to "catch my breath" from the pre-orders and then I can go back and pick up three or four of their Westerns. |

Good news for the transfer on INVASION. That sets a high bar for future Republic titles.
That's the argument Scott Peck made, referencing the Echo Bridge set. But comprehensive as it was, it was necessarily limited to video sources far removed from what the copyright holder could provide. It's going to look really puny and unpolished compared to what Olive does with the copyrighted films. |
