Amazon.ca just shipped THE SPACE CHILDREN, COLOSSUS OF NEW YORK and PROJECT X!

Wow...they are finally on the ball with the Olive releases! When I first ordered CRACK IN THE WORLD last Spring, it took about 3 months. Then some of the Jerry Lewis films were a few weeks late. Now, they've actually shipped three Olive films the day before release.

Looks like they've worked out any problems in the supply chain.

Dex, take a look at the new westerns. Byron Haskin's Silver City, with Yvonne De Carlo, is very good. I wish Warner would finally release

A couple of those Westerns, including SILVER CITY, are actually on the shelf in the local mall. I held SILVER CITY and came very close to buying it and I still hope to get it.

The thing is: I've got three Olive BDs coming this week and two more coming next week (THE SPIRIT IS WILLING and TALES THAT WITNESS MADNESS). Plus I have 4 more Olive BDs on pre-order for July and August...with more pre-orders yet to come.

So I'm really busting the budget right now. I'm hoping I'll get a chance to "catch my breath" from the pre-orders and then I can go back and pick up three or four of their Westerns.

Both titles are now pre-ordered!

$30.03 after shipping/handling and 10% save10 promotion. These are both no brainers for a film buff's HD library.

Some of these films really should have extras though...it's kind of sad.

It is sad that Macbeth won't get any features, but seeing that on Blu-ray will be great. I've only seen it thanks to the VHS copy my university library had.

wow, what a great lineup.
Cyrano is a notorious public domain title.
Olive is certainly on fire no doubt!

Though my question is this: If Olive feels comfortable releasing the PD Cyrano, why do they have such a problem with the PD Betty Boops?

From that batch 'A Double Life' looks interesting.

I'm glad there's only 1 that I want because of the September 4th releases that I want.

Good news for the transfer on INVASION. That sets a high bar for future Republic titles.

That's the argument Scott Peck made, referencing the Echo Bridge set. But comprehensive as it was, it was necessarily limited to video sources far removed from what the copyright holder could provide. It's going to look really puny and unpolished compared to what Olive does with the copyrighted films.

Pro-B - you can remove The Colossus of New York from the "not on Blu-ray" post near the beginning of the thread.
