I've cancelled my Amazon.de 3D/2D steel and ordered the HMV steel and the USA 10 disc phase one edition thing.

The box-set works out at around £6.70 per film, not a bad deal as Thor and Captain America are around £18 pound each. Could be a Amazon limited edition packaging too...

FYI the 6 disc set with all the films is only £34.99 at Sainsbury's Entertainment!! £5.50 less than Amazon and about £20 less than HMV.

~£5.90 a film is pretty good!

Thanks for that... DO you have to have funds in account for Sainsburys?

Pricing on this 6 film set is getting quite ridiculous , though Im guessing that once this initial weekend is done with it'll be creeping back up.

I have no idea what way to go on buying Avengers. I would love the 3D edition, nice packaging in the steelbook and I need the set up films as well. Would anyone recommend pre ordering all three on HMV's offer and cancelling the ones I don't want when more info arrives or is there something I've overlooked here.

Pre-order at least the 3D and the steelbook this weekend while the 20% code can be used. You can cancel when you decide what you want but get in there while it's cheap.

As for set-up films then the boxset at £34.99 at Sainsbury's is the best way to go - again, might be worth pre-ordering it while it's that price, you can always cancel it if you don't want it but worth getting in there in case it goes up.

Thanks for the help. It really annoys me that the steelbook ignores the 3D version, and the Phase One set seemingly ignores 3D as well. I may import the Phase One set depending on the reveal in July. Will I be charged in advance for any pre-orders?

Nope, only charged upon dispatch - so it's safe to get orders in while the prices are this good and cancel them later if/when you change your mind.

but did u notice, amazon is the only one that says 6 disc collection, every other store says 6 movie collection, so it is possible that it is the 3d movies included as well in the set, and the low price is stores not knowing what is included at the moment

Possible but stores will have a cost price, though rrp isn't Listed anywhere, so there is a chance I guess. Not banking on it.

i just think back to battle royale the limited set, when amazon had it for 12.99 gbp i think it was, and after they got the specs for the set the price raised a lot
so i was wondering if this would be the same for this set

They only charge your card when they ship, but Sainsburys do make a preauthorisation debit against your card, so you must have available credit limit on the card and that is then unavailable to you.

An issue if you run very close to your card limit.

Thanks but looks like amazon are charging £34.99 for it now too, so no need for sainsburys.

depends if you want them all on steel/metal cases or are not fussed

as already mentioned, the multi movie set would be the cheapest way to go, otherwise TIH, Thor and CA steels are still floating around and IM is supposed to be getting a UK Play release but then you'd either be waiting or have to import IM2 if you didnt want an ameray
