Groundhog Day is 20 years old today.I remember going to see this back in 1993 at the cinema.Makes me feel really old

The following link has some facts about the film that you may or may not already know http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-...36.html?page=1

I will get round to buying this on Blu-ray at some point.

I've just been thinking about this. If Bill Murray's character is re-living the same day again and again, then surely everyone else is, but just not aware. Also, would he still not age?

I watched this again the other day as the last time I saw it was on DVD. I still love this film and glad that all that other stuff was cut out, as the film wouldn't have been as fondly remembered now as it is

Murray is a God. This and Lost in Translation stick with me as some of the best movies ever made.

he wouldnt age because he is starting the same day over again, the day is rewound in a way, just that Murray can remember what happened

hate to bump an old thread but I am planning on creating a new cover for this movie, the current BD one is GODAWFUL. his extremely photoshopped face freaks me out too much, I liked the classy older one. the new one not only has a scary CGI murray on it but it makes the movie look like some kinda awful screwball comedy like animal house or some crap.

Wow that's bad!

The UK version is just a slightly re-jigged version of the movie poster;

Region-free.

Edit: Completely lost track of where I was and thought this was a US thread - presumably you've already seen the UK boxart in that case. Duh!

I've been wondering that, he seems to not age, but rewind to the start of each day with "knowledge" of what's gone before that no one else has He can remember what happened.

It's the SAME day. In terms of body age, it's one day's progression. At the end of each day, that progression resets, hence his body doesn't age. At the same time, he retains the memories of each day, so mentally, he is ageing, but physically he is not.
