Considering how many titles Paramount has licenced out in OZ at least, I will say that Shock Ent or Umbrella or one of the local studios down under could get the rights to this

I agree, it would look tremendous. Those sparkling floors and $300 dresses would light up the screen in HDR.
Shout or Arrow would be ideal for this title, since Paramount can't seem to be bothered to release it themselves.

But....it is being released by 'Shock', the company that released Ordinary People on Blu Ray which was a very disappointing release.

I'm wondering if Paramount licensed this one out to Shout Factory. This one is a cult classic and it's the type of film that Shout has been known to release.

with the way Paramount has lately been releasing catalog titles left and right, this simply HAS to get released by them at some point in the coming months (please?) ... and yes, the John Waters commentary is the cherry on top of supplement material that has to be included.

Mommie Dearest is showing on Amazon Video. I watched it the other day and it looked ok, but it'll look better on blu-ray.
