This is most welcomed news! I'm in for "Cyborg," especially considering it's coming out the same day as two other films I want...Anyone else find it strange that "Cyborg" (which was originally supposed to be "Masters of the Universe 2"), is coming out on the same day as "Masters of the Universe" ?

Not interested in "Death Warrant" or "Double Impact," but it's looking like October 2nd is easily going to be the best day for Blu-ray this year (at least in my book), with "Cyborg," "Masters," and "The Princess Bride" ...

This year has been too much. So much that I thought wouldn't come to Blu has. For once I feel like the right people are sitting at the catalog to Blu-ray vault. Keep it coming guys. If you release them I'll find a way to buy them.

Lets be honest, none of them are great, barely even good. In fact they're the very definition of guilty pleasure films. That said Cyborg is the least cliched of the three IMO. The setting, fight scenes and Direction are all pretty cool. Sure, its little more than a 90 min. chase film, but its quite relentless, even a bit sadistic at times but in the end its still good fun. I really can't say the same about Death Warrant and Double Impact. While I enjoyed certain aspects of both of those films they were very much a product of their time. Certainly more so than Cyborg.

Yeah, its unfortunate what happened to Hard Target. Still, as a huge fan of Woo's Hong Kong action films it holds a special place with me as I remember my excitement surrounding it's release. Despite it's flaws (and there are many) Woo's style still shines through in the end.

IMO Hard Target really was ahead of it's time. Great cast and a fun narrative mixed with some very creative action set pieces made for an all around good time. Not Woo's best film but you could make a solid argument it was Van Damme's.

Can anyone confirm whether or not "Cyborg" is going to be offered in its original theatrical form, director's cut, or both? I personally wouldn't mind seeing a DC of this, but I want the original theatrical version. I'd imagine they could easily include both on one disc via seamless branching (since the additional graphic footage that was cut out is probably quite minimal), but if this is going to be a DC only, I may hold off. Also, while not quite sure if it's true, I've heard rumors that Pyun's original intentions were to shoot the movie in Black & White, which frankly, is a bit ridiculous. I certainly hope there's no intention of changing the film in that regard...

definitely up for these 3.

but i want timecop, bloodsport, lionheart and hard target as well.

i realize that timecop and bloodsport were part of a two-fer deal, but i want them on separate releases.

It'd be great to have both the theatrical and director's cut on the same release, but I doubt the studios care in the slightest to give this movie any extra work; even on big releases we usually don't get the choice . Since it will likely only be one version, I'll gladly take the theatrical cut of the film.

Pyun released the director's cut via DVD (R?) not too long ago. I also read about his intention for the black and white "opera" release. Sounds pretty rough to me, but still interesting.

My wishlist:

Hard Target next year in 20th Anniversary package full of bonus features and a remastered director's cut.
In 2014 Timecop as a 20th anniversary edition again full of bonus features
In 2015 Sudden Death in yet another 20th Anniversary package full of goodies

I think Hard Target will be the only one to get that treatment. Timecop was OK and the Blu-Ray imo does the job fine. Sudden Death just another mediocre JCVD action film...

Trying to decide if I like Double Impact enough to warrant going HD. Big fan of that film though.

Would love to see these 3 films get some special features but I doubt it'll happen. It would be great if cyborg came with the work print as an extra. Was thinking about buying it recently but it's a bit too expensive.

I saw some JCVD movie today that's exclusive to walmart in some promotion called, "After Dark Action" or something like that. Anyone know which movie it is as I've forgot the title and I wanted to get some info on it before buying.

you're right, couldn't have been blu. he's probably thinking of 6 bullets as the JCVD one. Stash house and 6 bullets aren't released on blu...only dvd
