Thanks for the info on T2, I wasn't aware of the UK edition. I'll certainly look into getting it. It's a shame it doesn't have extras, but I still have the DVDs for that.

I haven't imported any Blu-Rays from Asia. Seems rather expensive.

That reminds me, I did double-dip on "Memento" to get that 10th Anniversary Edition, for better PQ and more extras.

Yeah you have to draw the line somewhere!

From what I understand, the old UK one (non-Skynet) hasnt got DNR & EE applied (unlike the Skynet US & UK). So its more faithful to the source than the Skynet one. Its certainly not the best looking film ever so dont expect miracles!

Just thought of another couple I double-dipped on..

Blue Velvet (US) - nothing wrong with it but the French digibook just looked nicer than a boring old amaray!

Casino Royale - upgraded to the Deluxe Edition which again is much nicer than the boring old bog-standard amaray

The Thing (1982) - nabbed the HMV exclusive slipcover (white) one for £6!

hp deathly hallows part 2 (bought the barebones version first then got the target-exclusive later)

The Good, The Bad, The Weird.

I own both the US release and the Japanese release which is the only release to have both the International and Korean cut of the film

Zodiac

Picked up the UK version when it was super cheap, then found the US version even cheaper.

Tell No One
The French region free import has better audio than the US release I originally bought.

Terminator 2 and Total Recall are my only 2 double dips on Blu Ray. Learned my lesson to read the reviews and if the PQ/AQ aren't up to snuff then I am better off waiting.

A Clockwork Orange, one of my favorite films. I have 2 DVDs and 2 BDs. The first DVD was part of the Kubrick collection that I got the moment it was released. The other DVD was some special edition that came with the soundtrack on CD and a film frame cell of Alex, which I absolutely wanted both. The first BD was a purchase when I got a BD player so I could watch it in high-def. The other BD was an impulse purchase for the 40th anniversary.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Original Movie.

I've bought:

01. Original DVD release in the white case
02. Original DVD release in the white case with added 25th anniversary Slip
03. 4-Film collection on Blu in Pizza Box
04. 3-Film collection on Blu (Wal-Mart Exclusive)

Will still buy (if it ever comes out):
05. TMNT Original Movie single blu-ray in indiviual case.

What can I say, it's my favorite movie and has been since I saw it on the big screen when it first came out. You know I just realized that I don't own a VHS of it. I should buy a sealed copy and add it to my collection lol.

I double-dipped a couple of the Best Buy steelbooks when they were $9.99.

I made my first major blu-to-blu double dip today. I own the Planet of the Apes 40th Evolution big box set, but the packaging is so horrible, and the risk of split discs so high, that today I bought the basic PotA 5-film set at Costco for $25.

[QUOTE=Tns49;6254314]Strictly talking about blu-ray double dips, as any older title I already probably triple dipped for (laserdisc, dvd, blu-ray).

Dipped for 3d version.
Beauty and the Beast
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Kung Fu Panda
The Lion King
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Shrek
Toy Story
Toy Story 2
Up

Double Dipped because a set came out that included previously seperate title
Independence Day
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
The 11 previously released Bond films
The Misfits
North By Northwest
Silence of the Lambs
Some Like it Hot

Doubled to replace previous inferior transfer

Dirty Dancing
Lethal Weapon
Lethal Weapon 2
Stargate
Terminator 2
Total Recall[/QUOTE

Exactly the same for I. A few other 3D title too that I won't bother to list.
As for regular Blus, only Stargate 15th anniversary due to such a huge pic upgrade, plus I love that movie. Incredible concept. Mover could have a tad better but nevertheless I still love it.

Only doubled dipped once for a BD and that was Fantasia/Fantasia 2000. I picked up a copy off gohastings for cheap, then bought a new copy off Glyde hoping to get a slipcover. Still no slipcover, so I cut my losses and got one off the forums here.
