I guess technically my most expensive Blu-ray would be the Star Wars saga which was £60 or £70 (I forget, but I got it on release). However, if you divide this between the six films it works out good, and the most expensive single film I bought is a tie between Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor, for which I got the HMV steelbooks for £25 each recently

Your choice, obviously, but right now there is seller with a 100% positive evaluation based on 4055 sales who's asking exactly what you were ready to spend - and remember; nobody has 4055 friends ready to help them fool potential buyers !

Hopefully it will get a worldwide Blu-ray release someday, god knows there is a high enough demand for it...it's a Horror Classic. |

Star Wars is probably the most expensive price wise but when you consider it's for 6 movies and a ton of bonus material, it's actually not bad. I find it quite amusing that people complain about the prices of movies on Blu Rays these days and insist on waiting until they come down in price, when some of these catalogue box sets are really set at bargain prices when they are first released. I mean, Star Wars for £70, Lord of the Rings Extended for £45, Superman for £35, James Bond for £90 and Indiana Jones for £40.
I mean, come on... when we used to pay £10-£15 a pop for a VHS tape, these really are a bargain! |

Personally, the most I have paid for an item that includes several BDs is £375.99, for the Pink Floyd The Early Years 1965-1972 box set. The most I have paid for a single, non-limited BD is approximately £53 for the Japanese edition of Sam Peckinpah’s The Osterman Weekend. That includes a proxy shopping service charge, plus onward shipping to the U.K. Given that the label involved, Stingray, does not ship outside of Japan, I had little choice, if I wanted the disc.
