First post - and the reason I joined the forum - Disney's releases of late show the minimum amount of effort they are willing to put into a BR release. Some of the covers/artwork that we are getting are truly horrendous when compared to other parts of the world.

I especially hate this whole 'Double, Triple, 4 Play' thing they have going on. And the PIXAR classic range is completely devoid of character - very disappointed the Incredibles didn't get the same artwork that the US did.

So is the JB release of Finding Nemo different to other stores?

http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvd/d...edition/674439

It says exclusive limited edition to JB but has same artwork as other stores.
But seems to have exclusive special features, is there an extra Blu disc or just more features on the same disc?

Cause Target have the Blu/Dvd copy for $23 in their catalogue with exact same cover, but if JB has more features will go with them

Yep exact same artwork on the front but mentions there is an extra disc on the back

I had enough, I emailed Disney about there lame Movie Rewards - their reply will be entertaining.

Hey Guys,

Long time buyer, as you can see in my history.

Got to say, looking at the rewards in Australia and comparing to the US, ours is incredibly lame - and has been for some time. Is there any plans to bring in new product - or at least some of the stuff the US has? Even if you brought in some BluRay stock it would make for a nice alternative.

Just that after choosing the plush items and the game to use some points that are just sitting there, there really isn't anything. It seems terribly half hearted.

Compare the US alternative - http://www.disneymovierewards.go.com...ts/2801-and-up

to the AU version - http://www.disneymovierewards.com.au/index.htm

Would be interested to hear your thought or plans, as after the survey I completed some months ago I thought there may have been changes but alas.

Regards,
Josh

I agree DMR is horrible here and I'm interested to see their reply! I swear the survey they had months ago just made it even worse - they got rid of everything besides downloadable activities :\

I have nearly 4000 bloody points, and there's nothing on offer there worth getting. I've been expecting the program to finish any day, they can't be getting much out of it with such poor stock.

Ahahaha. I'm looking forward to what the have to say in regards to the rewards too.

I have several thousand points racked up too, and have never redeemed anything other than some free Monsters Inc / Ratatouille figurines which didn't cost any points. I don't even know where I've placed them now.

I don't even bother opening my new Disney BDs to code in the points anymore. The only instance in which I've seen a BD offered up as a reward was 'High School Musical 3'...

Picked up Nemo from JB earlier today, already on shelves on monday
They had both the standard and the 3d versions.
Both versions came with a bonus blu ray disc exclusive to JB which has extra features.
I picked up the standard 2blu/dvd version for $29.98 or there abouts.
Didnt bother trying to price match target's $23 as i know they will say theirs is exclusive and has the extra disc, but may be worth a go if ur interested...

The only thing cool was that giant simba plush for 6000 points which they removed some while ago.

Yep, I've got over 4000 points now - but have probably had over 9000 points or more in total. It's just so half hearted, especially when you look at all the cool stuff that the US are getting. I get that Australia is different and all in terms of population, distance, postage etc etc but that doesn't excuse them for not having refreshed the items - I mean they still have stuff from the Prince of Persia!

I remember when I first started a few years back there seemed like there was a lot of great items for the points I have now but now I am there I get a choice of Duplo blocks or colouring in sheets. Really Disney? Really?

I assume I will be dismissed in the same manner I was when I asked when they were opening a Disney Store in Australia or why it takes them 2 months to release Wreck it Ralph after the US.

I can't remember the last time they had anything that coincided with a release of anything.

Might just pick up the cheaper version at Target, plus the disc-art for the bonus disc is great!

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet.

I spoke to Disney this afternoon about the Blu-ray release of Brave and what extras we'll get. Apparently, there'll be 4 different versions. One of them will only be exclusive to JB Hi-Fi.

1. DVD
2. Blu-ray/DVD Combo
3. Blu-ray Triple Pack (JB Exclusive)
4. Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray.

Now if anyone wants to get the version with the exact same contents as America, choose the 3rd version listed as it has 2 BDs, 1 DVD plus Digital Copy.

Banner free.

Don't know why they have to double play the double play, where there's already a sticker stating it's a BD + DVD pack.

I'd wait for a banner free version of Nemo if I weren't so impatient.
