So are Warner licencing the first from MGM? I know they had the rights in the UK but does that still stand?

the UK also got descent part 2 on bluray and US got it on DVD

I haven't read anything online about this yet, but my UK box set arrived today, and after playing Mad Max for a few minutes, I was shocked to learn that the only audio options are the American Dubbed track in DTS-HD Master Audio stereo or the original Australian mix in DD5.1!!!

This has now been returned to Amazon in utter disgust...

the lack of Lossless on original mix was well discussed online, the US version is Lossless but region Locked

Region locking is not an issue for me, just the exorbitant cost of the US box set

I may just pick them up individually.

I used to own the infamous Australian full bitrate DVD (which sounded amazing btw) so this discovery was a huge slap in the face!
