Cool. Thanks for the news.

One possible reason Iron Man 3 starts earlier in countries outside the US is due to the fact worldwide theaters earn a major portion of ticket sales, often times more than the US alone. Or maybe they complete the marketing, arrangements earlier outside the US?

Anyone know a good reason why movies like Iron Man 3 don't release at the same time everywhere in the world?
We get screwed quite a bit, movies come out here last, special edition DVD and Blu that get sold overseas but not here. I don't get it.

Anyone find information that mentions Stereo D by name for the company that Iron Man 3 has the 3D post-production conversion completed?

Wikipedia Iron Man 3
Quote:
Post-production Unlike the first two Iron Man films, Industrial Light and Magic is not involved with the film's visual effects. Instead, Scanline VFX, Digital Domain, Weta Digital, Framestore, The Third Floor, and Trixter Film worked on the visual effects for Iron Man 3.[85]
Per Wikipedia:
Quote:
Iron Man 3 was converted to 3D in post-production.[8]

Pretty cool I'm pretty sure I have the gold & burgundy ones. I think those are the same ones they issued with The Avengers.

The color scheme is probably the same, but the left side of the glasses say Iron Man 3 instead of Avengers.

Cool special 3D glasses. I'm guessing this is for all theaters while supplies last? For Star Wars I 3D, certain theaters had certain glasses if I remember right.

Yeah, it would be nice if world wide everyone go to see it at the same time.
An interesting link about this also a number of posts back.

Agreed! Remarkable innovations, development and advancements since
Stereo D converted "The Last Airbender" for cinema and BestBuy 3D Blu-ray exclusive.

The studio will convert the M. Night Shyamalan-directed The Last Airbender into 3D, using Stereo D, the company that worked on James Cameron’s Avatar.

Saw this today in Imax 3D. Movie was absolutely fantastic, easily one of the best comic book movies of all time. The action was immense with the plane sequence being a particular highlight. Staggering visual FX and great 3D throughout. During the 'monkeychain' sequence my eyes were on stalks! The 3D was so good here with epic scale. The finale is big and exciting and definitely up there with the best action scenes. I loved the performances too and the twists and turns that the story took. overall this is HIGHLY recommended with strong and impressive 3D throughout!

The Marvel/Disney actioner starring Robert Downey Jr already has surpassed the entire international run of Captain America in one weekend and looks like it will knock off all the previous international Marvel films in no time.

This sounds better with each new post. Thanks.

Heard this made 100$ million in Europe so far. I believe it.

Watched Iron Man 2 again and it was more enjoyable the 2nd time watching.
Yes, with Marvel movies, always stick around to the very end for a Teaser Scene to link into the next movie for the Marvel superheroes.

How was Guy Pearce in this one?
