I'm certain there will be a new racer at launch, I don't think it will be PGR, but Evolution definately have something coming, and it's next gen and its out this year

The Wall Street Journal has added more rumors to the mix, citing its always helpful "people familiar with the matter" who claim that not only will Sony debut its next gen console at the event, but that it will be released later this year.

The big thing for me is backwards compatibility. It better come back. Not just PS3, but it should definitely at least put back PS2 backwards compatibility in it. Serious, the majority of people have finally moved on. I don't want to rebuy my damn PS2 games. I definitely don't want to rebuy my PS3 games, either. Backwards compatibility is a must for me. This goes for the new Xbox as well, or else the next generation can suck it.

You won't have to. BC will come by way of Gaikai. That way you can play any game at all whenever you want. As long as you are conected to the internet of course.

It's not the best for most people, but it certainly is for Sony. Why add in expense by adding BC when they can just use Gaikai.


More exciting news, Paul Rustchynsky of Evolution Studios has tweeted about the event, adding more fuel to the flames about this possible PGR game from them

I'm certain that this meeting will be for PS4 but will they also announce the Gaikai intergration?

If you really want to play your older games (ps3), you could always keep a ps3 around. The ps1/2 games are rumored to be available on Sony's online service.
