Bungie just shot themselves in the foot.

I don't know how much the rest of you know about American culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in Canada where you can become successful by being an *******. If you screw someone over in America, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.

What this means is the american public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Destiny for either system, nor will they purchase any of Bungie's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Bungie has alienated an entire market with this move.

Bungie, publicly apologize and cancel Destiny for PS3/PS4 or you can kiss your business goodbye.

I'd embrace all of them better if there were more 3rd party exclusives. Just having exclusive content is not enough.

That's the funny thing. One might think that since Neogif requires a non-free email to join, that perhaps you'd have a more mature audience then other gaming forums. Turns out to be the exact opposite.

Such a huge blow to MS though, the creators of the game that literally made the first Xbox a success.

To tell the truth, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Bungie would appear during the MS presentation at GDC or E3 to say that Destiny will also have "some" exclusive content for the Durango (think skins / characters in MP / equipment...)

To me, that it will be day 1 on the PS4 (PS3 too?) is good enough frankly.
What amuses me most is seeing what some Xbox fans have adored the most now being berated and dissed by the so called "fans" like they have kicked their pupy dogs.

Some might compare it to the backlash of the FF XIII anouncement, but the situation is a "little bit" different though. FF XIII was very obviously delayed for the 360 port, after having been shown as a PS3 exclusive in trailers.
In the end, I like it when 3rd party games are well executed -and- available on all platforms so that the actual winners are the gamers..

I couldn't afford all three this gen. But I've been saving for a while, so depending on how MS xbox reveal goes I may get both.

Sony have already convinced me that I want the PS4 so thats a dead cert.

I dont know if its been mentioned on here but Bungie has confirmed that despite the fact that the game requires an online connection, you CAN play this game as a single player experience! They said that if you choose to play as the "lone wolf" you will still encounter other players but just like the game Journey, you are not required to interact with them! They said it would be impossible to experience the expansive scope and everything they envision for this title without an internet connection!
