So looking forward to a 3D version of this, The incredibles, along with megamind are two of my favorite "animated" movies.

Same here. Purchased and imported Sammy's Adventures (Hong Kong Version) Region A with no problems.

The Incredibles (Taiwan Version) 2-Disc BD + Blu-ray 3D would also be guaranteed as Region A; the same region as the U.S.

I've been using Yesasia for years. Highly reputable site, but typically more expensive than most other sites. They carry a lot of 3D titles that are hard to find elsewhere.

I ordered both Sammy movies from them and had no issues.

No, let's not go there, but it's not out of the picture for them to pick a non-sequelized catalog Pixar title for 3D next. Call me when they do, though.

But they lost me at "YesAsia".)
why? like others here, I've ordered blurays/dvds from in the past with no problems.

If the Taiwan version includes an actual 3D disc, it will be a REAL re-rendered version. This wouldn't be the first time a Pixar movie was released first in another country before the US.

I don't think he knows what that is.

If it's legit, I'm freaking excited through the roof!!! This is one of the 3d movies I've been dying for most! Incredibles is my favorite Pixar film and 3d is an absolute no-brainer for it!!!

Agreed. That and a sequel, right?

OTOH, we have the "3D version" of Dr. No over there, but I'm not waiting for a wave of newly MGM-mastered 007 to gloriously arrive on American shores.
Call me skeptical of Asian 3D.

It's not the STORE I have problems with.

It's the country.

My fave Pixar which would be great to see in 3D. Ideally this should be re-rendered in 3D by Pixar themselves, rather than get a post-conversion.

I believe all of Pixar's 3D re-releases so far have been re-renders, so I think this will follow suit.

I believe the first 3 Shrek films were the only post-conversion animated films. Everything else has been native re-renders. I'm almost positive even the Thai release is a native re-render.

I think people assumed you had a problem with the store when you said, "but they lost me at YesAsia".

Isn't "Thai" short for Thailand? I think Taiwanese would be right here.
Sorry, sounds like the Country Grammar Police.

Considering that the Disney conglomerate, who actively pursues copyright infringements world-wide, would allow the sale of this "Taiwan version" suggests to me that it is legitimate. We already have the fact that Pixar announced they were recapturing original elements on ALL their titles for the recreation of their CGI features in native 3D.

Not surprising that the Asian market, which happens to have the biggest demand for 3D as a financial certainty, would get this first. We're just lucky it happens to be in a country that authors BDs with their assigned Region A designation.

If you hear it from Disney, it makes sense. If you don't, it doesn't make sense.
