The features aren't as big an issue. The no menu, no scene selection just seems awful lame to me.
If it was being released at $12.99 or lower, and even then, how much effort and space for a simple menu with a couple options??

Always liked her, especially in Goonies. And, it's been so long, I wouldn't mind seeing them release Three For The Road starring Kerri Green, Charlie Sheen, & Alan Ruck

BTW, I'm I the only one that's gonna purchase Stuck On You? Love directors Bobby Farrelly Peter Farrelly (Dumb & Dumber, There's Something About Mary, Me, Myself, & Irene, Shallow Hal, and Hall Pass)

Default Silver Streak

Although I may have to double dip, is anyone else besides me holding out for the Ultimate Collectors Edition of Silver Streak, which will undoubtedly include a 6" miniature spear gun (rubber band shooter), a can of shoe polish, and replica copies of the Rembrandt Letters...?

Put me down for a copy of Silver Streak! I love that film!

My favorite scene is when Gene Wilder tries to explain to the sheriff what is happening on the train. "You stupid son of a b----, dumb b------!! I have met some dumb b------- in my life....." lol! I got cracked up just typing it. Great performance by Wilder.

I'll raise you on the scene when they steal the jag. Pryor looks at it and says "This is pure *****"
then the car lot owner comes out with a shotgun has some choice words while Wilder jumps him to knock him out then looks at Pryor and say's "A ***** huh, a *****"

Agreed, It just flowed naturally for him. Much like Sam Jackson can make the F bombs sound so funny!

But back to Gene it would be nice to see Hanky Panky get a blu release.

I've been calling for Silver Streak for a while now. Now bring on "Thief" and "No Way Out!"

I'm certain that Hanky Panky would get a BluRay release soon, since Mill Creek has the rights to it, and most of their acquisitions have gotten the 1080p boost. If you haven't seen the Mill Creek 4 film set, its worth a buy. The audio has aged alot but the picture is decent. I also get a huge kick of Wilder's character name in the film. All in all a decent flick

Lightbulb No Day One from me!

Having been burned very recently on Starz/Anchor Bay releases on "full price" Day One releases ($13.00each, The Phantom more), don't count me in until the reviews are out, and possibly not then either!
Poor releases:
Bedazzled - *NO* Menus!, No features, average PQ/AQ
Jumpin' Jack Flash - *NO* Menus!, No features, PQ 3.0 AQ 2.5 !!
The Shadow (I know not Anchor Bay) what a travesty of a blu-ray. And from what I heard, some other company is releasing again later this year! Sh&t!

Bedazzled is at $8.99 on Amazon now. The other two will drop. None did I really "need" to buy now. I could definitely have held off until the prices dropped.
Lesson learned. Unless it's 50% off SRP, or a know excellent PQ/AP house, no more day ones. for me!

I have paid upwards of $20 for Anchor Bay Blu's before realizing that they go down in price if you're willing to wait a few weeks. These Fox titles really shouldn't be more than $15 tops since they're not likely to be remasters or have special features. I like the artwork a lot better for Lucas than the DVD.

Anchor Bay doesnīt offer English subtitles. Therefore itīs a pity that Fox didnīt release "Silver Streak" by themselves.

Looking at the back of my copies of Bedazzled and My Super Ex-Girlfriend...

"English Subtitles for the Deaf & Hearing Impaired" is on both.

I can't speak for other Anchor Bay titles.

Considering the starting price points for these titles, I am more inclinded to believe we will be getting recycled DVD masters. This seems to be the trend lately with catalog products from the various studios, use an old master, slap it on a blu-ray disc and call it a day. Nevermind the fact there is little if anything HD about the image, although releases have varied, but still.....

O.K. thanks for the Information. Maybe we got lucky and English subtitles will be on the disc. Otherwise it will be not a big problem either.
