Consider that Pablo Hidalgo tweeted on Dec 13th that the start of the Rebel Alliance stuff from TFU isn't canon and has been replaced by the stuff from Season 5 of The Clone Wars. And also, Lucas said in the Making of The Force Unleashed book that he doesn't consider cut scenes canon. I think TFU's place in non G level canon is clear.

Well, that makes sense. What I mean is that the official Star Wars canon only refers to the movies as being official canon. Everything else is just considered a companion to the movie franchise but never considered as official canon.

Here is something i found between other fans about Hidalgo's tweet: Has anyone here seen Pablo Hidalgo's tweet? Apparently, the rebellion Onderon arc retconned it. Yes it is canon No, it is not. @infinata on twitter said that the Onderon arc retconned it. I already said it on the Force Unleashed II talk page, but I do not agree. We already know that the Alliance is formed by many independent rebel groups. What he said is that the Rebels on Onderon are canonically the earliest representation of the future Rebellion against the Empire. Not that it is the formation of the Alliance. Actually, the tweets says "all I meant is thematically the idea that one regime's soft war fighters became the next's rebellion is reflective of how George defined the roots of the rebellion more than what TFU put forth". There is no true contradiction here. We speak about the thematics of the ROOTS of the Rebellion, not the political Alliance formation. Quote:

I would expect a ton of stuff to be relegated to the Marvel Comic level canon very soon due to Episode VII. Moving forward, there will apparently be story groups who will make sure every game, comic, movie, and tv show does not step on each other's toes. I would like to see them re-write some of the more popular novels such as Heir To The Empire, so that it can still be considered canon, and not relegated to the status of the Marvel Comics.
If they somehow brought in stuff from The Force Unleashed, I think that would be cool but it would most likely jettison a ton of stuff that we have grown to love. |

Vader defeated Obi-wan when he was 30+ years older than when he defeated Maul so I don't think Obi's defeat of Maul indicates much. However I do agree that Vader would defeat Maul. Maul is an apprentice. A fast and deadly one (faster than Vader), but he isn't as disciplined as Vader is. Maul would charge him and Vader would probably just choke the life out of him. Or bring a ceiling down on him.

If a Sports team beats another Sports team that beat the sports team that the sports team beat before.. it doesn't really mean anything.

![]() STAR WARS REBELS: MEET CHOPPER, GRUMPY ASTROMECH DROID In Star Wars, droids are always eager to help out their human masters, drop whatever it is they're doing when called upon, and sometimes even sacrifice themselves to save others. Right? Not quite. Introducing Chopper, a lazy, cranky (if ultimately goodhearted) astromech droid, and the latest character revealed from the highly anticipated Star Wars Rebels animated series. "If Artoo is the family dog," said Dave Filoni, executive producer of the show, "Chopper is the cat." Chopper is an essential crew member of the Ghost, tasked with keeping the starship running and operable for its band of heroes. In reality, thanks to his many "unique" upgrades and customizations, no other alien, human, or droid could handle the job. The design of Chopper, a.k.a. C1-10P, takes cues from early Ralph McQuarrie concept art for R2-D2, especially the expressive arms that fold out of his head. As Star Wars Rebels takes place four years prior to the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, Chopper's retro look creates an aesthetic continuity with droids of the original trilogy. Check out a special preview of Chopper in the accompanying slideshow, including a first look at Hasbro's upcoming toy -- part of a full line of 3.75-inch Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends action figures -- and learn more about the grumpy astromech from the creators of Star Wars Rebels in the video below. Star Wars Rebels is scheduled to premiere in fall 2014 as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel and will be followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world. Artwork:

![]() Freddie Prinze Jr. is Kanan: "The Cowboy Jedi" Kanan has been on the down-low. He keeps his lightsaber under lock and key and brandishes a blaster instead to avoid the attention of the Empire, especially the Inquisitor (a Sith villain) and his Stormtroopers. But Kanan gets his Force-ful groove back with his crew on the spaceship The Ghost and fights back against the imperial menace. "He's been forced to shove a massive part of his life under the bed, so to speak," Prinze says. "Is he living a lie? At a certain point, the lie kind of becomes the reality. And to suddenly be forced back into your Jedi ways, it'd be a bit of a challenge for him. And pretty awesome, too, when you can see what a Jedi can actually do." Executive producer Dave Filoni describes Kanan as a "cowboy Jedi." And unlike the stoic knights of his order in the Star Wars mythos, his banter is as sharp as his blue lightsaber strokes. There is some melancholy, too. Kanan lived through the attempted extinction of an entire culture when Order 66 came down during his formative years, and he's massively affected by it, says Prinze. "He definitely has seen more than what a young man should see. And what he had to see was pretty much the worst thing you would have to witness." Prinze probably would have accepted any role on Star Wars Rebels, be it a bounty hunter, Sith lord or even a TIE Fighter pilot, but "the Jedi is who you want to be," he says. "I never wanted to be C-3PO. That would suck to just be running from bad guys." In addition to voicing Kanan, Prinze is prepping his 4-year-old daughter Charlotte, one of two kids he has with actress wife Sarah Michelle Gellar, to watch the original Star Wars. That's "so she can know just how awesome a lightsaber is and she can know just how awesome her daddy is for the rest of his life.'' Source: USA Today ![]() ![]() |
