standard for ES sadly...but when they truely DO get exclusive steels and do nice little extras ie the lazer text, it can be worth the extra few quid.

Pre-ordered my trade copy and a copy for myself (blind by, so unsure if I'll keep it).

This is a bit expensive for a movie shot natively in 2D and the 3D [conversion] reviews I've seen have not been complimentary, I'll probably skip this and buy the 2D version when it's in the bargain bin.
Life of Pi 3D steelbook this is not.

Only the 2D is going to have the unrated cut apparently - read that over on AVF. Ill just go for the 2D release I think this time, not blind-buying again anyway.

It's not like the artwork is an exclusive either, like some of their previous releases the same artwork can be found from other retailers.

Obviously if that English/UK J-card is what you desire along with the etched numbers then this is your only option but if it's the artwork you like then search around.

Also others have said, £26.99 for a film that is neither native/hybrid 3D and is purely a conversion is too much to ask.

According to snooloui - Since the art for the Scandinavian versions has changed, it looks like this has got WEA (World Exclusive Artwork).
