Hope you're wrong though Everyone's currently sidetracked by the nice artwork!

Well so far if we break it down to: PQ, AQ, Extras & Packaging.

PQ: Original is horrible, so I would think it can only get better(we hope).
AQ: Original is horrible, this might be an easy upgrade?
Extras: Original had none, SF, as we know, will give us something
Packaging: Original is horrible, SF is a great upgrade

So already looking at 2/4, in terms of upgrades. So audio, at worst, will be a push, and we can only hope that silence about the PQ means SF might be working on it as we speak and they don't want to say anything until it's completed. I might be grasping there, but I'm hopeful.

For some of us, the PQ/AQ are the only things that matter. If the PQ isn't getting an upgrade, it's pretty much a useless release.

I understand that. Using your words: for some us we have never owned it, so this would be a nice edition to the collection.
So having never bought the dvd or '09 BD, this release already seems like the best edition on the market. Unless I missed a BD release somewhere?

Hell, the DVD is only $7.50 (Amazon), you might as well save yourself a few bucks.

~$13 is going to make/break me. Plus I like to support SF in their efforts. So this release is a win all the way around for me.

Dog Soldiers blu-ray has been bumped up to August. Hopefully, this means they are working on a new transfer.

I guess that explains why it has not listed on Amazon yet. As you said, hopefully the delay means a new transfer and/or nice bonus content. Either looking forward to this.

I'm almost positive The Ponce Pound preorder listing will eventually become a listing for Dog Soldiers. Same ASIN, release date and runtime as what's listed for Dog Soldiers on Amazon.ca. I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as The Ponce Pound, either.

Shout seems to that quite often. I see a lot of dummy titles up for Pre-order, that I guess eventually get changed to real titles.

Now that's pretty interesting. I wonder what Amazon does that? Is that like when studios send film reels to theatres under a secret title?

I think it's Shout that's sending them the phoney info, as they seem to be the only label that does it. It does have a very "Blue Harvest" feel to it though

From Scream's Facebook.

**Update on DOG SOLDIERS**

Sorry guys but there's been a change of plans for our upcoming Collector's Edition release of DOG SOLDIERS that we need to make you aware of...

Due to unforeseen issues on clear ownership of the rights, we are forced to move the title off of its planned August 26th release. Rest assured, we are doing everything we can to work out a solution to bring this back into our scary fold but, as of now, the street date is undetermined and there is a strong possibility of it moving to early 2015.

As always, we will keep you guys posted on any developments. Our apologies again.

Oh brother! Well the "Pounce Pound" listing can be removed from Amazon. What a debacle this preorder turned out to be. I was looking forward to it, too!! Hope SF gets everything squared away by 2015.
