I'm curious as to whether they went back to the original Super-35 negative to do the 4K scan, or if they used the same SD-quality film-out that was used for the theatrical prints and every existing video version of BREAKING THE WAVES.

The Deadline announcement only mentioned theatrical and streaming, although it’s certainly possible after the Oslo Trilogy.

Yes, but a deal that includes theatrical and streaming will almost always have physical media too. Probably sometime in 2025 after they get all of them up on their service.
