My favorite Herzog feature films are Fata Morgana and Heart of Glass.

But I love most of them and Aguirre + Nosferatu are very high and probably next on my favorite list followed by Signs of Life, The Wild Blue Yonder, Lessons of Darkness and Woyzeck.

I have pre-ordered the box set, but it's going to be a hard wait knowing two of my favorites, Aguirre and Nosferatu will be released two months before.

Just tell yourself it's worth waiting. Why buy two discs separately for half the price you're going to later spend on seven discs? That's how I see it anyway. I'm ready to press cancel on Aguirre despite it being my favourite...something is stopping me though. I can't say no to Herzog. Dammit!

I hope BFI's release of Nosferatu will look better than Studiocanal's. If that were the case I'd definitely order it.

Is there any solid details on the Shout Factory release(s) from the US? I wanna see what they're gonna do before committing. Having everything in one box set is mighty appealing.

Artwork is up! Looks like it'll have a slipbox...let's hope it's a thicker one than the recent The Great White Silence/The Epic Of Everest double-pack...then again you can never tell with BFI mockups. It could just be a digipack (e.g. Svankmajer DVD set).

I've updated the BR.com listing with the images.

Would have loved the documentary film on the life of Bruno S. Star of Kaspar Hauser & Stroszek included here. An interesting and enigmatic figure if ever there was one, of which I know very little.

That cover art is not remotely as bad as some people claim. On the contrary, it looks quite good.

That's what I thought! Could've been much worse. Yes it's the same shot used for the Anchor Bay release of Fitzcarraldo, but it's one of Herzog's greatest feats and sums him up in one image. So therefore is a fitting shot for the front of his collection.

I hope there's more artwork inside though...like if they do separate amarays or something. Be nice to see some more stills and designs.

Agreed. It's an iconic shot from one of his most iconic films, so screw the haters, lol.
