Yeah my last pre order from Blowitoutahere was Ravenous and it shipped the Friday before the release date and arrived here the Wednesday after. Fully expecting a shipping confirmation tomorrow.

It's not very gory, it's a backwoods slasher flick and it is awesome (mind you, that's looking through the lense of nostalgia). I've only seen this looking like shit so the blu ray will be a revelation.

This, like so many 80s slasher flicks have essentially fallen under the radar and have never been treated with any sort of respect. After years of waiting for some of my wanted movies, 2014 gets Curtains, The Final Terror, and Without Warning. Three mistreated and (IMO) awesome flicks.

Thanks for the help. I don't mind if it's not that gory. The cast looks great, it even has a color purple cast member in it. I'm a big fan of slasher in the woods flicks.. The burning. Mad man max so I guess I'll give this one a blind buy. Sounds like this film had the same problem Humungous had... VERY bad transfer

"Madman" Marz...

I think you're a little confused about the state of The Final Terror...

Humungous was in Standard Def, on DVD, and was mastered from tape, too. Wasn't it? Because there wasn't so much as a print floating around.

How is that even remotely similar to The Final Terror's situation? TFT is sourced from multiple film prints and is is full HD on blu-ray. It will likely look great (especially compared to the VHS), but not mindblowing.

I believe he was referring to the years of obscurity. The Final Terror has never been given proper treatment before this bluray. The old dvd is a travesty. Humongous has been treated better only by Scorpions dvd but before that it was the same thing, obscure and treated less than adequately. Also, I do want to add about the Humongous dvd transfer. It's a tape master but it wasn't transferred from a tape. The dvd actually looks pretty damn good, all things considered.

Glad I could help it's definitely a fun ride, and there are a few nifty kills.

Mine shipped on friday from diabolikdvd so I should get it by street date. I'll post my thoughts on the transfer then.

This is selling like hotcakes on Diabolikdvd - they're down to 6 copies from more than 30 they had in stock. I'm hoping it does very well so that we can get more of these on Blu. The Prey, anyone?

My copy of The Final Terror is out for delivery according to stamps.com. I can't wait to get off work and put this in my Blu Ray player. Finally, a copy where I can see what is going on during the night scenes. 5pm can't get here fast enough!
