Hell Yeah!!!!

I think Shout! is going to release all the PR used Sentai, which is fine by me. I can finally replace my old vcd sets and actually have subtitles now.

Dairanger is insane. I only say never go watch MMPR S2 after Dairanger bc u'll be facepalming the entire time.

The only real issue with Dairanger I had was lack of Kibaranger, Won Tiger, and Daimugen use.

They have said they do have the rights to release any Sentai series on DVD, but sales were determine how far they go and what they continue to do. As long as they at least get through Kakuranger, I will be extremely happy.

I would love to see them at least release Jetman to see how a non-PR Sentai show would do.

I still highly enjoy MMPR S2. In fact, I picked up the 20 seasons box set earlier this year and that is the season I am currently on.

I can't agree there. The show used Kibaranger when it had to. The thing I love about the Sentai series of the 90s is that the sixth ranger was used sparingly. He would show up when he was needed, kick ass, and leave. He wasn't there to just become another generic ranger that is so powerful he gets his ass whooped in every episode like the sixth rangers of today do.

Anyway, with both Dairanger announced for DVD and the Legacy Thunder Megazord revealed, it is a good time to be a Dairanger fan. The only thing that could make this even better is if Bandai decided to finish the Dairanger Figuarts team.

Finally got a chance to watch the latest Gaim Movie where Ryouma returns. ****ing incredible. Gaim is still on the top New Gen Rider list. They need to bring this writer back ASAP, only good Toku writer next to Kobayashi.

1. I think they'd start releasing pre-Zyu Sentai once they are all up to date on the PR Sentai releases which I am fine with. I've only been waitng for this shit to happen since like 1997 lol.

2. 6th Rangers were cool back then. Dragon, Kiba, King, Time Fire, GaoSilver.I agree with your comment. But they should still throw the mecha in there if they can at least. Them keeping Kiba and Won Tiger limited really ****ed up MMPR S2 but then again I blame Saban because he clearly could have done a Zyu2 footage route when it came to Kibaranger (Dai2? lol). Don't get me started on how lame the last few 6th Rangers have been.

3. Enjoy MMPR S2 as much as you can. It had it's moments but when you go back years later you begin to cringe at the footage cutting and horrid editing. I understand the reason for keeping the same team, suits, etc... but god damn. Hell, one episode the team even did the actual Dairanger poses too. White Ranger was the highlight of season 2.

Dairanger had one of the most disappointing endings I've ever seen of any story.

Also, I heard the Zyuranger DVD subtitles weren't all that great so hold onto your bootlegs just in case.

Legacy ThunderMegaZord still looks wrong!
Look at the Helmet!
Still vastly different!
The Chest Piece doesn't open.
No mini figs for it for individual Zord placement...

And it looks like the are using less Zord Builer!
Now if only they can go and re-do the Legacy MegaZord and make it to scale with DragonZord!

Zyuranger subtitles were fine to me, actually better than any of the fan sub releases which have popped up over the years (which ain't much to begin with).

I am totally pumped for Dairanger.

Legacy Mega Tigerzord is gonna loook sweet. But I'd really like a solo Red Dragon Thunderzord which is to scale with the Tigerzord too.

I HATE Kobayashi. Yes, she did great with Gingaman, Timeranger, Ryuki, OOO, and the live action Sailor Moon, but she also gave us Go-Buster, ToQGer, Shinkenger, Den-O, and that dreadful Garo anime. If this site had a puking emoticon, that anime would get 3 from me.

Oh, there is no doubt that S2 has horrible editing. I finished the 3 parter that introduced Rocky, Adam, and Aisha and the stock footage used for Jason, Zack, and Trini is really bad. However, for MMPR, it is still my favorite season because well, the Thunder Zords are my favorite zords and Zedd was amazingly badass before he married Rita.

I wouldn't say it was disappointing, it fits with the theme the series had been going with, but it is jarring on the first viewing, especially if you saw it without subtitles (like I did).

Not sure where you heard that, but the subtitles were fine. In fact, if you check out my review of the series I did on Youtube, I have the subtitles on in my video, so you can see them for yourself.

They aren't perfect in spelling and grammar (there are maybe 6 sentences in the entire show with some bad grammar, but every company has that happen), but the translations are completely accurate and they didn't over translate everything.

No it doesn't. It looks exactly like it does in the show.

The chest piece not opening is not big loss and I'd rather not have holes in the head for mini figures.

How is that a bad thing? The Zord Builder aspect hindered the Dragonzord. However, Tigerzord does still use it, and the TMZ will too.

This I will agree with, but not because of its scale, but because it looks out of place having stickers instead of sculpted and painted details.

No. Go-Buster & ToQGer were not done by her. Gingaman, Timeranger, Shinkenger = all solid Sentai shows.

Anyone not liking Garo at all is nuts. It's CG heavy but dark and awesome, also, that is another franchise Kobayashi had nothing to do with.

Kobayashi is the only Toku writer worth a damn

Zedd was shit. All of the villains in PR were worthless until PRiS. Changeman's baddies alone would take a giant dump on Lord Zedd.

I think people wouldn't give a shit about the mini figures riding the thunderzords in exchange for an actual show accurate toy. Hell, it's even more show accurate than the Japanese release since it's got the gold chain for the sword.

I LOVED Go-Busters, I know it was all over the map due to the behind the scenes troubles, but any sentai that dares to try something new and update the formula deserves to be celebrated, even if in Japan they celebrate homogeneity over all else. Especially when it came to the mech stuff, I think the worst aspect of toku is the giant stuff, and the fact they are still doing it exactly how they did in the 70s. The use of Ace was the first time I actually believed they were giant robots in sentai.

But yeah, GARO, is my favourite toku franchise in general.

Busters changed up a few things which I did appreciate. First, the suits being leather and not spandex, and the 4th Ranger (former MagiYellow) along with a cybernetic team member... good times.

I was bored to death with Go-Buster. It had some interesting ideas, but the stories were so boring and I hated the Buddyroids. I also didn't think Escape brought anything new to the table that Enter didn't already do. That and the series ended at 3 different times but kept on going. Oh yeah, finally, the commander just looked like he was ready to go to sleep every time he was on screen.

Zedd and Rita are my favorite Power Rangers villains because they have great chemistry together and are often very funny.

[Show spoiler]who brought back Shadam, after he supposedly resurrected all the other Gorma.
It was one plot twist too many.

Uh... yes, she was.

http://powerrangers.wikia.com/wiki/Yasuko_Kobayashi

Shinkenger was anything but solid to me. It had a solid ranger cast, but the villains were so boring and Dokoku was one of the most lackluster villains ever. There was way too much mecha involved to.

Kobayashi did the Garo anime, not the live action stuff. Anyway, Garo has run its course. I loved the first season, liked the second, but after that, it went down hill. The third season was one of the worst Toku series I've ever seen while the fourth left a lot to be desired.

She needs to rest. Every one of her series in the last several years is the same thing over.

Well the series was already about death and rebirth. They had Kujaku, who was a form of Buddha, another symbol for reincarnation. As such, I took is that there will always be a Gorma and a Dai Tribesman no matter what.
[Show spoiler] It doesn't matter who or what brought Shadam back because it will always happen. There being two versions of Gara also supports my ideas of this.

Nope, there is nothing wrong.

And god no, I gave up on ToQ at episode 8. I'm still at least watching Ninninger. I hated the cast to ToQ whereas the Nin cast is tolerable to good.
