One thing I didn't remember is how long the film is: 2 hours and 20 minutes, and I do think it could have been trimmed by about 10/15 minutes, but damn it's good anyway.

Oh THANK GOD! I couldn't bring myself to buy Miracle at St. Annes (I despise it) but love SoS, and then it went out of print. Picked up 25th hour and He Got Game this summer (love love He Got), but been itching to see Summer again. So glad someone is releasing it alone!

What with Sony reissuing directly on UHD BD several titles that they licensed to TT and Fox arguably under a Disney cloud, over the past six months or so Kino has become the boutique to watch for catalog releases as far as I'm concerned.

Is Summer of Sam worth a blind buy? I've never seen it but thinking about picking up the Kino release.
