DvdBeaver has their comparison up vs the German release.

Conclusion is - pretty much identical.

US wins for the better cover art

Damn..... the German Blu-ray looks like shit

I´m disappointed. Kino Lorber is not a good Blu-ray label.

I expect the same crappy picure quality on "Breakheart Pass"!

Damn. I'd opt for the DVD on this and save like 10 bucks, but I think it's one of those awful double-sided discs. Guess I'll stick with the blu.

The German bluray is really not bad... way better than any DVD could be.
It's the same master used on MGM HD and this is not a bad thing.

Yes it would be nice if they did a new 4K scan for this but... they would most
likely redo the color scheme and make it YELLOW and redo the audio in 5.1 with all new sound effects !

For those who don't own this yet I would go for it and buy the bluray when it hits a low enough price! This is a QUALITY FLICK!

And it's CHARLIE!!!

The best German Blu-ray of Bronson´s Cannon era as far as picture quality is concerned is his film "Assassination".

A much better picture quality than "Mr Majestyk".

So US-folks I can give a recommendation to the German Blu-ray of "Assassination". German title is "Der Mordanschlag".

What?
Who told you that?
That´s nonsense.

"Assassination" offers a pretty good picture quality. Lots of Germans were surprised how good the picture was.

Looked much better than "Mr Majestyk" or "CaboBlanco".

The German Blu-ray of "From Noon Till Three" also looks fine to me.
I once owned the Japanese DVD and the Blu-ray is much better.

It could have been from Amazon.de or some other German site. From Oon Till Three is definitely a great transfer.

I'm hoping MGM will release the rest of his Cannon movies on Blu-ray soon enough.

Mr. majestyk is one its way... Rockin. Oh and I will second that the German blu-ray of Assassination looks very good... Far from an upscale, I was pretty impressed, not my favorite Bronson cannon Era film but enjoyable non the less. From noon til three I haven't seen and here the PQ is really solid on that disclosure too but it always is very pricey so I haven't gotten that one yet.

I watched this Kino Lorber Blu-ray of Mr. Majestyk earlier tonight, and I thoroughly enjoyed the film.

There's not much to this one, but I could spend hours and hours watching films like this one, Hard Times, The Mechanic, and Death Wish, where Charles Bronson plays an understated stand-up-guy-who-takes-up-for-the-underdog type whom we would all like to have as a buddy.

Watermelon is my favorite food, and I usually buy a couple of whole watermelons each week during the summer. When I saw the premise of this film, where Bronson plays a Vietnam Vet who is just trying to succeed at his watermelon farm, I had a feeling that I would see a sequence where the bad guys try to get to him by destroying a bunch of the melons. My prediction proved to be true, and, when it happened, I was just as ticked off as Bronson. Leave the watermelons alone, people.

This Blu-ray is not a demo transfer in terms of audio and video, but I'm cool with the disc. On this presentation, Mr. Majestyk simply looks like a scrappy B-movie from 1974, and that's all that I expected. Everything looks pretty natural and filmic, even if it's rough around the edges.

None of the Kino Lorber Studio Classics have slips.

Every hardcore Bronson fan knows it
There was once a review about the UK blu-ray and the only real reason to purchase it are the new extra features.
