And honestly, that's my only complaint with the game. I played through it in 3 sittings (a rarity for me these days). Everything else about it was ace so I'm really looking forward to this one. Hopefully there's more tombs to raid, either in the game proper or a separate game mode.

I have my fingers crossed for the removal of multiplayer, it had no place in the reboot in the first place.

With Tomb Raider I just want an intriguing and captivating SP story.

And perhaps, deep down Lara is a psychopath. Now that would be interesting. But yeah, I think more options to sneak past the bad guys would have been interesting, or even more ops for sneak attacks.

I had the same problem with Uncharted though, how many hundreds of these guys are on one Island do I have to plow through?

Funny thing is I never got into the first Tomb Raider games fro way back, I thought it looked and played silly. So this was pretty much my first long term playing of the franchise.

Today’s announcement with Microsoft is one step to help us put Tomb Raider on top of action adventure gaming. Our friends at Microsoft have always seen huge potential in Tomb Raider and have believed in our vision since our first unveil with them on their stage at E3 2011. We know they will get behind this game more than any support we have had from them in the past - we believe this will be a step to really forging the Tomb Raider brand as one of the biggest in gaming, with the help, belief and backing of a major partner like Microsoft.

This doesn’t mean that we’re walking away from our fans who only play on PlayStation or on PC. Those are great systems, with great partners, and amazing communities. We have Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris coming to those platforms this December, and Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition is available on PS4.

We know that there are probably many more questions and concerns. Please do send them to us, and we’ll answer to the best of our ability. Meanwhile we’re going all out to try and make something truly special - the most ambitious Tomb Raider game ever built.

It will be a timed exclusive. My guess is 2015 on xbox1, then the ultimate edition in 2016 on PC and ps4.

You needed this more than PS4 does. We have tons of exclusives coming and better versions of multi-platforms on average. Xbone exclusives are quite dry.

Its a timed exclusive, so we'll see an edition with DLC for PS4 launch. Plus, MS simply did what they always do, throw money at em.

I wonder how much $$ microsoft threw at them... obviously enough to offset the potential $$ from sales on the other systems.

I have both console's, recently got an xbox one. This still frustrates me. First, I like to have choice, and probably would have got it on PS4 anyway. Second, I just think it's bad for gamers. Even if it was a PS4 exclusive I would feel the same way. Microsoft had to have paid them a lot of money. I have no problem with exclusives, I just don't think a sequel to a multi-platform game should be exclusive to one console. It would be like the new Arkham game being exclusive, it would just be bad.

Plus they it seems Microsoft will be paying for advertising it seems based on that letter from Crystal Dynamics, that would save them millions as well.

Microsoft still haven't changed their strategy I see. Instead of throwing money at developing games, let's throw money to buy timed exclusives.

My friend hinted this, and he's right. Sony selling their shares in Square Enix may have contributed to this being allowed to become exclusive.

Oh well, as we can see, Sony always invest in developing better games rather than wasting it on timed exclusives etc. as mentioned above.
