There doesn't seem to be a fitting reason. Once upon a time a site called playusa.com existed (doesn't work anymore) and that was said to be the reason.

I am guessing they cannot be bothered to support it.

Well Play.com aren't the sellers, It's Entertainment Store. So You can always drop them an email asking why they don't. Their customer service team are pretty good and quick to reply.

ES do sell some things internationally via their eBay store though, so could be worth keeping an eye on it.

Title should probably be changed to Entertainment Store Exclusive not Play.com exclusive since Play.com isn't the seller of this steel, seems to cause confusion.

It doesn't, however the distributor (Entertainment One) tend to lock their titles.

[REC] 1 was an entertainment one release and wasn't region locked b. Or at least had that menu remote control trick where you can unlock it. I'm hoping that's the case here.

There's no way for anyone on Play to sell outside the EU - when they were a retailer that's how the system was setup and it hasn't changed now their just a marketplace. Of course that might change, but probably not before August.

As Maverick says, they do sell internationally from their eBay store (most of their exclusive steelbooks are for sale there with US shipping options), so if it doesn't sell out by release I'm sure they'll list it there.

ES hasn't updated their ebay store in months. That's how I bought TWD S1-3, as the price, and especially the shipping was quite cheap. I think they are moving away from selling on ebay. Although I hope I'm wrong about that. As the service and shipping time were both excellent.

It looks as they only ship inside the European Union, I'm in Norway and I can not pre-order...

Unfortunately theres no English subtitles. The cover seems nice and I almost bought this but cannot justify the price for a film with no English subs for a foreign language film I won't understand
However some people have bought this steel and put in discs from another version, which I personally think is not how it should be.

I think the German steelbook is a very nice alternative to the Play one.
You could swap the UK disc. It's only £6.

Saw this yesterday. Fantastic action scenes but the movie needed to be about 45 minutes shorter. 2 and a half hours for this kind of film is insane.

The first one, from Play.com, was...so I would've been amazed if this was different.

Rule of thumb: Whenever you see white background in a mockup, assume it's steel.
