And yes, the street date looks like 01/13/2015.
Jeez. I agree with the others: January makes ZERO sense. All they need to do is move it 3 weeks and it's ready for X-Mas. I don't get it.

Plus, I want to buy it and see it.

Remember Guardians is releasing in December. If this releases in December it'll just wash away quickly. Seems too far off for this movie anyway but the studio is obviously working a good strategy for more sales.

OK, I could see that.

OTOH, it doesn't help with my particular problem of wanting to buy and see it.

01/13/2015 is better than the 03/15/2015 date that shows up on Walmart.com.

Lucy was the first "R" rated film to be partially filmed in IMAX.

I had no idea this was shown in IMAX, let alone certain scenes shot with IMAX cameras.

Dont recall ever seeing any ads mentioning IMAX but okayyyy...

Even internationally the IMAX release was pretty bare, and outside of Asia I'm not even sure what countries actually got an IMAX release for this film.

I went in there today, and they still say the 11th. Everywhere online has it in January.

Jan/Feb releases is all the sep/oct garbage that no one wanted to see in the theaters so I guess it makes sense.

This movie did well at the box office, both domestically and worldwide.
