Outside Burying the Ex this felt the least like a Joe Dante film. They must've really gave him a hard time on this one.

Does anyone else have serious issues with this disc? My copy is completely scratch-free, and yet it begins skipping around the 37:00 mark until almost the 41:00 mark. I’ve never heard of Blu-ray discs skipping without scratches, so I’m kinda freaking out a bit, especially since this isn’t an easy title to replace.
Also does anyone know why this is OOP? It’s not like Warner lost the rights to it or anything. It should still be easily available. |

Also done a firmware update on your player? System isn't getting too hot is it? A bunch of older Warner discs have seemingly gone out of print although a number have recently gone back into print. Always a chance this one could come back. I believe Allied Vaughn has brought a bunch of older Warner blus back in stock. |

I far prefer this film over Space Jam. Granted, I haven’t seen that since I was probably 5, but Back in Action did a very solid job of capturing the sense of humor of the original Looney Tunes characters. It allowed them to be the stars more than the human actors, unlike the Space Jam films, which were mostly vehicles for Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

I'd say it's likely disc rot. Even though I've never heard reports of this disc having issues before, individual discs can have issues when whole batches don't.
It didn't exactly sell like hotcakes, but it likely sold enough units that it could and should be had for no more than $20. That being said, the guys on eBay likely know it's OOP and price according to that, as compared to pricing for the relatively high supply and relatively low demand. It has a small chance of going back into print. Shout getting it is unlikely, since it's literally WB's most famous characters. However, WHV doing a 4K is possible. |

Hopefully, this will get a reissue in the near future. I can see there potentially being renewed interest in this movie when Wile E. Vs. Acme comes out. |

Just got mine from an eBay seller, the only place I found it for less than $50 without scrounging thru dollar store bargain bins (already looked at my local Game X Change) or calling or driving to Vintage Stock in Fort Smith (Little Rock doesn't have it). Definitely a much better film than the market gave it credit for; the BD also has several decent latter-day Looney Tunes shorts from that era. With slashed-UPC copies (unsold from its market failure) now going for such a premium on eBay, perhaps George Feltenstein should twist his boss' arms to reissue this thru Allied Vaughn as a MOD BD (whether thru main WHV like Looney Tunes Platinum 1 & 2, or WAC like several other OOP WB BDs).
