Finally!!! Got it to work. I finally found the link to the 3.03 software. Just installed 22 games and still have 1.3 TB of free space. Does anyone know if all my codes that I have used will be automatically updated? I hope so bc it's not going to let me use those codes again. Oh yea and I forgot to back up Destiny oh well guess I'll have to start from scratch.

Destiny is saved on its servers. You have to re-download any content from codes you've used.

Okay I did this today, so I'll share my thoughts and experiences..

I upgraded to 2TB via this hard drive

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-STBX...ate+hard+drive

Its an external drive, you just need to carefully open up the case to remove the drive and its cheaper than straight up buying an internal one.

I copied all my saves to USB (even though they are in the cloud just to be safe). I setup the USB with firmware and hit a brick wall.. after loads of searching online and asking people it was clear that I needed the EU firmware not the US.. very simple really, quite stupid of me to overlook it and it cost me lots of time messing around. The whole process should've gone smoother but thats down myself being stupid, and Sony not really being clear on their support pages (links to old DLC, no clear reminder or message about US vs EU firmware)

Finally got it updated and installed all my disc games. I am dreading having to redownload 10-15GB of Killzone DLC, over 20GB Battlefield 4 DLC and around 10GB of digital games. It'll take me ages on my internet but theres no work around.

I haven't actually played anything yet, but I hear the hard drive is the same if not a little faster than the stock 500GB (although the speed has never been an issue for me)

The codes you are talking about won't install when you reinstall the game. Go to your download list, or "related items" for each game on the main screen you will just have to redownload everything again.

I went to downloads and didn't see any of my codes there. And does anyone know of a way to turn off the 15 game limit on the homescreen to where after 15 games they go into the library? I've done it before but can't figure out how I did.

Go to the Store->Your game->Add Ons and it should be purchased already. Select it to add it to the Downloads list.

My 500GB HD is already full. I am going to need to upgrade, but I doubt 2 TB is going to be enough based on my experiences so far.

Those 5-6 TB hard drives are looking like good options.

I am finding it very frustrating having to download all my stuff again, not the fact I have too but the way the PS4 handles it.. I have maybe 40GBs worth of stuff; DLC, games, updates so last night I put it all on my download list.

Just turned it back on after a good 18 hours and only two things were downloaded. Everything else is "waiting to download"... Really?

The PS4 can't automatically just start the next download after one finishes? I wasted this whole morning unknowingly thinking everything was downloading itself. So I know have to sit here with the console on waiting for a download to finish then manually selecting the next thing..

I went Hybrid 1TB, but I don't think you can really go wrong with either. Both have pros and cons... (my logic is that you would want to do some cleaning up and not keep oodles of unplayed stuff on there eventually anwyay)
Blasphemy! Any game I pay for, I want to keep on it. I know in the long run I'll have to go the 6TB route that some others have gone, with the HDD sitting next to the system.

Im ready to upgrade myself. I have a few questions

Is 2tb, the largest HDD the PS4 can take?

Am I reading correctly in that there is no way to backup to an external HDD and then restore? Has Sony addressed this issue at all?

Are saves the only thing I should be concerned about backing up to take over? Will cloud saves automatically download to my HDD?

Should I delete my old HDD before I remove?

Is 2tb, the largest HDD the PS4 can take? YES. Anything bigger won't fit in the space, they are too thick.

Am I reading correctly in that there is no way to backup to an external HDD and then restore? Has Sony addressed this issue at all? I saved my save files to an external and also to the PSN cloud. Then used a 1GB flash drive to reinstall the firmware.

Are saves the only thing I should be concerned about backing up to take over? Will cloud saves automatically download to my HDD? Depends on your games saves and what you selected. The game saves should be backed up otherwise they will be lost if they are not on the cloud.

Should I delete my old HDD before I remove?
I didn't. Just leave as is incase you have to use later, I sold my old PS3 and kept my HDD and reinstalled the original HDD for the seller.

Hope this helps. Good luck. Watch some YouTube videos if you wanna see it done before you try it.
